
The Wolverine State saw solid increases across the board as the Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) announced official monthly figures for October on Tuesday, Nov. 18.
The total online sports wagering handle was more than $605.9 million, a solid 15.6% increase from the $524.3 million recorded in September. Online sports wagering taxes and fees back to the state posted at more than $3.4 million.
Gross sports betting receipts totaled more than $73.8 million, an increase of $30.2 million, from $43.6 million recorded in Sept.
Combined adjusted gross receipts (AGR) for both online sports betting and iGaming generated more than $310.9 million for the month. Of that total, $261.7 million came from iGaming, and $49.2 million came from online sports betting. This marks a 7.5% increase in iGaming AGR and a $36.0 million increase in sports betting AGR compared to Sept.
Year-over-year, iGaming AGR rose 31.8%, while sports betting AGR increased by $39.4 million compared to Oct. 2024.

Gross online casino revenue posted a new all-time monthly high of $278.5 million in October ($263.3 million, August 2025) and now has the record for a single-state, single-month adjusted revenue total, beating out New Jersey who had the AGR record for just 24 hours when the Garden State's official numbers were revealed on Monday, Nov. 17.
iGaming taxes and fees back to the state exceeded $54.6 million.
Overall, Michigan’s commercial and tribal internet gaming operators reported a combined total of $352.3 million in gross receipts from internet gaming (iGaming) and internet sports betting for October, reflecting a 16.4% increase from September.
In October, Detroit’s three commercial casinos reported $15.0 million in wagering taxes and municipal services fees paid to the City of Detroit iGaming taxes and fees posted at $14 million, while online sports betting taxes and fees touched one million.
Updated as of Oct. 2025, 15 commercial and tribal operators have been authorized to offer iGaming and/or online sports betting in the state. Currently, 11 platforms offer online sports betting, and 14 offer iGaming.
