
Sports wagering in the Wolverine State continues to see increases as Michigan's Gaming Control Board (MGCB) released official monthly figures for November on Tuesday, Dec. 16.
Online sports betting handle generated more than $631.1 million for the month, a nice 4.2% increase from $605.9 million in October.
Gross sports betting receipts posted more than $87.3 million, which marks the highest internet sports betting gross receipts reported to date. The previous high was recorded in Jan. 2025 ($83 million).
iGaming gross receipts for the month totaled over $248.4 million.
Combined adjusted gross receipts (AGR) for iGaming and internet sports betting reached $298 million in November. Of that total, $233.3 million came from iGaming, and $64.7 million came from internet sports betting, marking a 10.9% decrease in iGaming AGR and a 31.4% increase in sports betting AGR compared to last month.
Year-over-year, iGaming AGR rose 14.7% and sports betting AGR increased by a significant 74.7% compared to Nov. 2024.
The state reported a combined total of $335.7 million in gross receipts from iGaming and internet sports betting for November, marking a 4.7% decrease compared to October.
State taxes generated $53 million ($48.5 million iGaming taxes/fees, $4.5 million online sports betting taxes/fees).

Detroit’s three commercial casinos reported $14.4 million in wagering taxes and municipal services fees paid to the city in November. The breakdown includes iGaming taxes and fees ($13 million), online sports betting taxes and fees ($1.4 million).
Tribal operators paid out $5.5 million to their respective governing bodies.
As of November 2025, 15 commercial and tribal operators have been authorized to offer iGaming and/or internet sports betting in Michigan. Currently, 11 operators offer internet sports betting, and 14 offer iGaming.
The success of Michigan's men's college basketball team helped with November's numbers as the Wolverines are either ranked No. 1 or No. 2, in weekly polls.
Michigan (10-0) sits atop the Big 10 standings, highlighted by two top 25 victories over No. 21 Auburn (Nov. 25) and No. 12 Gonzaga (Nov. 26). The Wolverines will host LaSalle at 4 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 21.
