
Welcome to the sports wagering world Missouri!
As the clock hit midnight on Monday, Dec. 1, eight sports betting platforms launched legally in The Show-Me State.
“We are pleased that Missourians are now able to place wagers on sporting events. Sports wagering will create new jobs, increase tax revenue, and further enhance education in our great state. I am incredibly proud of the MGC staff for their hard work and dedication in getting sports wagering to the finish line,” said Missouri Gaming Commission (MGC) Chairman Jan Zimmerman in a news release.
Thirteen months ago, Missouri voters’ approved Amendment 2 on November 5, 2024, which legalized sports betting statewide.
Here are the eight sports betting platforms Missouri residents can choose from: Bet365, BetMGM, Caesars Sportsbook, Circa Sports, DraftKings, Fanatics Sportsbook, FanDuel, and theScore Bet (formerly ESPN Bet).

BetMGM Sportsbook at Century Casino & Hotel Cape Girardeau: A guest placed the first sports bet at 12:01 am CT, $100 on a 4-team parlay: St. Louis Blues (-150) to win vs. Anaheim, Kansas City Chiefs (-200) to win vs. Houston, Chicago Bulls (+280) to win vs. Orlando, and Chicago Bears (+225) to win vs. Green Bay Potential Winnings: $2,987.50 if all hit.
The sportsbook includes five sports betting self-service kiosks and four electronic points of sale. “With the launch of legal sports betting in Missouri, we’re thrilled to introduce a wide range of entertainment offerings through our mobile app and new retail sportsbook,” said Adam Greenblatt, Chief Executive Officer, BetMGM in a news release. “As a partner of the Kansas City Chiefs and with St. Louis native Jon Hamm as our ambassador, BetMGM is bringing the thrill of Las Vegas to the Show-Me State.”
Caesars Sportsbook: Former St Louis Rams and Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Trent Green placed the ceremonial first bet at Horseshoe St Louis earlier this morning, using it on a future bet on Indiana to win college football's national championship. According to Caesars: "The first bet placed on the Caesars Sportsbook app was a 5-leg NHL money line parlay, including the St. Louis Blues (-160) to beat the Anaheim Ducks tonight, along with the Flyers, Devils, Jets and Mammoth to win."
Former Chiefs running back Christian Okoye was also in attendance and actually embarked on a cross-state tour to visit all three Caesars Rewards destinations in Missouri, including Horseshoe St. Louis, Isle of Capri Boonville, and Harrah’s Kansas City.
Circa Sports Mobile: Las Vegas-based Circa Sports launched their mobile app in the state this morning, with the first bet placed on the St. Louis Blues money line (first 60 minutes, no OT) at +110 for tonight's game against Anaheim.

We’re looking forward to earning the trust of customers across the state and becoming part of Missouri’s growing sports betting landscape.”
DraftKings: To celebrate their launch, DraftKings hosted a ceremonial first bet event at The Palladium in St. Louis, featuring Missouri sports legends Tony Gonzalez, Isaac Bruce and Brett Hull. The event included ceremonial first bets from each, along with remarks from Missouri House Speaker Jonathan Patterson.
Fanatics Sportsbook at Ameristar Kansas City: Forner Kansas City Royals star Alex Gordon will place the ceremonial first bet at 5 p.m. ET and will host a Monday Night football watch party. The sportsbook has three betting windows, 12 self-service betting kiosks, 10 TV monitors and one giant LED Video Wall. first bet placed at the retail sportsbook was $20 on DeMario Douglas for an anytime touchdown in the Sunday night game against the Houston Texans.
Fanatics Sportsbook at Ameristar Casino St. Charles: Retired hockey player and St. Louis native, Patrick Maroon placed the ceremonial first bet and hosted a Monday Night football/hockey watch party. The sportsbook features two betting windows, 12 self-service betting kiosks, 10 TV monitors and one giant LED Video Wall.
FanDuel: The first bet on FanDuel was a $50 wager on the company’s Missouri Super Boost at +100 odds on one or more total points scored in Monday’s New York Giants at New England Patriots game. The company is offering $300 in bonus bets to any new Missouri customer who bet $5 or more.
theScore Bet: Penn Entertainment’s latest sports betting platform went live online not only in Missouri, but across the country - rebranding from ESPN Bet.
The company also announced that it is opening three retail sportsbook locations at the Hollywood Casino & Hotel St. Louis, River City Casino Hotel St. Louis, and Argosy Casino Hotel Riverside. Existing ESPN Bet customers were transitioned to theScore Bet overnight, and all account settings, existing wagers, and responsible gambling tools were available in a seamless transition.
bet365 also launched Monday, but no highlights were available.
