On the last day of Problem Gambling Awareness Month in the U.S., PENN Entertainment announced an important, new partnership Tuesday.
The Wyomissing, Pennsylvania-based company has teamed up with Birches Health, one of the nation's leading online behavioral health services providers, to implement new responsible gaming resources within its online gaming platforms, theScore Bet and Hollywood Casino.
U.S. customers will now have access to responsible gaming focused and tailored content at their fingertips.
“Responsible Gaming is always our highest priority, and we’re thrilled to partner with Birches Health and expand the library of resources our players can access through our gaming apps,” said Adam Kates, Vice President, Compliance, PENN Interactive in a news release. “Birches is a leader in the behavioral addiction treatment space, and their curated content helps destigmatize gambling addiction and provides players information on identifying and treating problem gaming.”
The New York-based provider also provides specialized behavioral addiction treatments, including online counseling programs specifically focused on sports betting and gambling, along with additional resources to support responsible play.
“PENN’s partnership with Birches Health showcases innovation in player protection at scale," stated Birches Health founder and CEO Elliott Rapaport. “We are excited to support them and their users with specialized content, educational initiatives and streamlined access to our specialized support services.”

Last week, Birches Health partnered with Betflow, a sports betting technology and data platform, implementing responsible gambling education, screening tools, and treatment resources with an emphasis on enhancing player protection and awareness during high-activity periods like March Madness, which culminates over the next few days with Final Four and National Championship action taking place in both men's and women's college basketball.
idPair, a responsible gaming tech company, joined with several fantasy sports platforms including PrizePicks and Splash Sports to expand the first nationwide voluntary self-exclusion program across all 50 states and Washington, D.C.
