UNO, the card game that you've more than likely played at some point during your life, especially as a kid, is going from the coffee table to the Las Vegas Strip.
The Palms Casino Resort debuted this "UNO Social Club" this week, and the company Mattel is bringing more venues across the United States.
When you first think of a casino, you may think of a slot machine or table games like blackjack or poker. However, with the UNO Social Club, there will be multiple UNO tables, dealers, and themed environments for things like UNO Golf, UNO Teams, and UNO Show 'Em No Mercy.
The suite at the Palms Casino Resort is decorated in the UNO colors, which include red, yellow, blue, and green.
That same suite also offers a private bowling alley and other UNO-inspired elements.
The press release refers to it as "a technicolor suite drenched in the brand's iconic red, yellow, blue, and green colors, packed with UNO-themed features, including a private bowling alley and game-inspired décor."
This past May, Mattel held a giveaway that included a weekend stay in a themed suite, allowing fans to enjoy the experience up close and personal.
UNO was invented by Merle Robbins, a barber, in 1971. Mattel acquired the rights to the game in 1992.
A copy of the game is sold nearly once per second. According to the National Museum of Play, about 80% of households in the United States own an UNO deck. This has earned it the title of "America's favorite game."
With Mattel's assistance, it's clear they want to bring UNO into a refreshed in-person experience. There are plans for additional UNO Social Clubs across the country, including at bars and other entertainment locations.
At these pop-up UNO Social Clubs, there will be cocktails, tournaments, and photo-ops.
"We created UNO Social Clubs to reimagine what game night can be—bringing people together for real-world fun, connection, and a bit of friendly competition. The UNO Social Club in Las Vegas is just the beginning, and we're excited to see how these new experiences inspire players to show up, play hard, and make unforgettable memories," said Ray Adler, the Vice President and Global Head of Games at Mattel.
Fans of UNO can expect more announcements regarding the pop-up clubs and more throughout 2025.
