To the left of the main page, there is a first-purchase bonus banner. Since I wanted to play more games and get a Diamond boost, I took advantage of this offer. It costs $9.99 and delivers 250,000 Gold Coins, 25 Diamonds, 1 claw machine credit, and 1 Rum Coin. This is a special offer that is only available after registering. There is no obligation to make any purchase, but this coin package is a great value and has allowed me to play many more games.

Wheel of Gold

The Wheel of Gold is a free feature where you can win Gold Coins from a spin on the wheel. Spins are earned by playing social casino games. Overview of Games on the Platform

I was pleased with the number of games and the diversity. Most social casinos focus only on slot games, but at BigPirate, I was able to play table games, live dealer titles, and even some arcade-style games. Finding games is simple using the search option. There are also main tabs at the top of the page to quickly direct you to new slots, live dealer games, popular titles, and more. With over 1600 titles available, I can’t find any downfall regarding the variety of games.

Slots are where the action is at this sweepstakes casino. The majority of games are slots, and I found over 1500 games. These include a mix of three-reel traditional slots, modern video slots, jackpot games, and exclusive titles you can only find at BigPirate. There are over 25 providers that contribute to the game portfolio. I found some great titles from NetEnt, like the popular Starburst and Gonzo’s Quest. Unfortunately, I was unable to find a list of the RTPs for supported games. If you want to find titles with the highest RTP, you will have to find the information from the provider and then search for the title.

Not every sweeps casino offers live games, which is a highlight of BigPirate. I was able to access over 120 titles, all played in real-time. The live dealer games are powered by Evolution Gaming and ICONIC21. Many of these games are classics like variations of roulette, blackjack, and baccarat. While I do enjoy these classic options, I was impressed with the other live games. Crazy Coin Flip, Triple Card Poker, and Dream Catcher are a few of my favorite live titles.

When accessing any live title, the games loaded quickly. The streaming speed was good, and I experienced no lag while playing. All live games have a chat option, and you can adjust video and sound settings at any time.

BigPirate Payment Methods and Process

Making a purchase of coin packages was a simple process. I chose to use Visa Debit to purchase the first-purchase coin deal. My payment was processed instantly, and there were no added fees. The bonus coins were instantly added to the account after the transaction was complete. Purchases can be made by clicking on the Purchase tab and selecting a package. You will then be able to choose from Visa or Mastercard as a payment option.

As for redemptions, a minimum of 50 Diamonds is required. I did not earn enough to request a redemption. Based on the terms and conditions, all Diamonds must be played 1x before they can be redeemed. When you have met requirements and have more than 50 Diamonds, you can request a cash prize.

There is a redemption cap.

It starts at 2,500 and can increase based on your current VIP status. You can see that higher VIP tiers offer faster prize redemptions. The standard processing time is 72 hours, but this is reduced to 48 hours when you reach VIP level 3 and 24 hours for levels 4 and 5.

You can use Visa or Mastercard debit, bank transfer, or Trustly. As for the redemption times, the social casino will process requests Monday through Friday, and it can take up to 3 days for approval.

User Feedback and Industry Insight

At the time of writing, there are just 118 BigPirate reviews, and the site has an overall rating of 2.5 stars. Having been around for quite a number of months now, I am admittedly surprised that the overall number of reviews and the star rating have remained quite low.

In the positive reviews, players such as Rayow Kamat compliment the variety of things to do at BigPirate, such as the challenges, wheel of fortune, and the game collection.

Kip is another positive reviewer, although they do say that slot collection isn't that interesting or big. The customer service must have been pretty good for them to still give the platform 5 stars.

With 60% of all reviews being 1-star though, I found plenty of disgruntled players from BigPirate who have faced issues with verifications and redemptions.

BM is one of them, who opened by stating that the gameplay is good but everything else about the platform is no great. They have reportedly been waiting 9 days for a redemption that reportedly should have taken 24 hours and that customer support has not been helpful at all.

The proportion of players who have faced problems with redemptions and verifications does give me pause when it comes to playing with SC at BigPirate, although I think checking the site out in GC mode is still worth it.

Final Thoughts: An Honest Overview of BigPirate’s Casino

After playing games at this casino and purchasing coin packages, I can recommend the site to others. I found the sign-up bonus to be valuable, and the first-purchase offer is a good deal. As for games, I was impressed by the selections, especially the table and card games. These are not often found at sweeps sites.

There are, however, some concerns from other players about processing times. Players have reported slow or missing payments. Basing processing time on VIP levels is a definite drawback.
