Dabble is an up and coming daily fantasy sports (DFS) app that has a lot to offer in terms of bonuses, no nonsense usability and community chat features. But is Dabble legal? And if so, where?
Well, at the time of writing, the brand’s real money DFS games can be played from as many as 26 different US states, as well as Washington DC. That said, those of you based elsewhere in the US will be able to enjoy the app’s super fun social features, but not much else. Here’s what you need to know.
Dabble is, as mentioned above, an app based DFS game provider.
This means it offers sports lovers like you and I opportunities to “draft” our own dream teams across various sports markets, and enter them into competitive fantasy sports contests – but only if we’re based in permitted US states, of course.
You see, while playing daily fantasy sports is technically legal in the USA, thanks to the enactment of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA) back in 2006, operators like Dabble need to abide by very strict laws and some individual states still outright ban DFS betting, or require DFS operators to obtain local licenses.
Now, I’m not about to go all legal on you, but in a nutshell, this means Dabble’s legal outlook is a bit complicated. Basically, there are 26 Dabble legal states at the time of writing – and you’ll need to be based in one of them (or in DC) if you want to enjoy this brand’s real money DFS games.
Let’s look at the full list of Dabble friendly regions…
So, ultimately then, only would-be players in selected states can currently enter contests at Dabble legally for real money.
The crux of it is, much as Bet365 is legal in only certain parts of the world, and DraftKings has its own state by state rules, Dabble sets a strict customer acceptance policy of its own, too, which excludes people from specific states on various grounds.
Want to know where you can play from? Here’s a full list of all green lit Dabble states at the time of writing:

Put simply, everywhere else in the US. So, unless you live in one of the US states listed in my table above, you won’t be able to play any real money DFS games on the site.
Having said that, Dabble’s homepage quite clearly states that those of you who live in states that are off limits for gameplay purposes can still enjoy the app’s “Social Features”.
So, what does that mean exactly? Well, it means you’ll still be able to:
That said, all paid DFS contests will remain completely off limits to you guys, I’m afraid.
If you’re looking for alternatives, you’ll see tried and tested DFS and sports betting sites that are legally playable where you live highlighted in my site banners on this page. So, perhaps BetMGM is legal in your backyard, or some other worthwhile Dabble alternative.
But for those of you who do live in Dabble friendly states, it’s worth noting that this app has quite a lot to offer for fantasy sports lovers – as you’ll see soon enough in the next section.
Now you’ve seen my Dabble legal state list and know where you stand on that front, let’s look at whether the app is really worth downloading and playing at.
For me, Dabble’s standout pros and cons, are:
To be honest, this all depends on where you live, and your personal DFS preferences. Though personally, I’d say the app’s pros outweigh its cons by a country mile.
For me, the best things about Dabble’s app include:
As we’ve seen, Dabble is legally available in 26 US states right now (plus Washington DC).
This is pretty good going in the iGaming biz, where popular sports betting and casino sites tend to be off limits in a lot more regions. Caesars is legal in just 22 US states, for example, while BetMGM offers online casino games in just 6 states, as American online casinos are required to obtain state level licenses from local authorities to operate legally.
Having said that, it is worth noting that there are other DFS apps out there, like FanDuel and DraftKings, for example, that are currently up for grabs in 40+ US states.
When I registered with Dabble not too long ago, I was awarded $10 in bonus credits on signup without having to make an upfront deposit – which I thought was awesome.
My bonus credit came with a reasonable wagering requirement of just 1x and I was able to use it to enter into either 1 or 2 DFS contests, so long as I made between 2 and 12 picks.
As far as I can tell, this offer is still available to new players in all Dabble friendly states at the time of writing.
Another thing I really like about Dabble is its neatly designed app, which makes drafting teams, picking and choosing players and entering contests a real breeze, particularly for newcomers to DFS.
Of course, the brand’s app only functionality won’t suit everybody, but it’s worth noting that their app has an amazing 4.8 star average rating on Apple’s app store for a reason – it’s one of the best designed, most user-friendly DFS portals around.
That’s easy. You can create an account in a matter of minutes, by:
Of course, there’s always a chance you might be offered a slightly different bonus to what I was. But in most states where Dabble is legal, the brand’s flagship welcome promo seems to be worth $10 in bonus credits, which you can use as either 1 or 2 entry fees for DFS contests that feature 2-12 picks. Not to bad!
At the time of writing, then, you can currently register with dabble from 26 different legal states or Washington DC, and should qualify for a $10 bonus credit with no upfront deposit requirement when you do.
Having said that, if you’re based in an off limits region, you won’t be able to play here – you’ll be able to access Dabble’s fun social features only on the app.
To sign up and bag a bonus from a legal US state today, simply click any of my banner links on this page.
Whether Dabble, FanDuel or DraftKings is legal where you live should be immediately clear after taking a quick glance at any of these sites. Most DFS sites offer a legal states list or interactive map on their homepage. But of course, if you’ve no time for faffing around with all that, you can find geo targeted suggestions of solid DFS apps that are legal where you live in my on site banners.
Right now, you can enjoy real money DFS contests on the site legally from 26 different US states plus Washington DC. California, Florida and Texas all make the cut, but several other states don’t – so be sure to read my reviews for all the latest info.
Offering an easy to claim no deposit bonus, an incredibly well-designed app and availability across more than 20 US states, I’d say yes. But of course, it all depends on what you’re looking to get out of DFS betting.
