The overall library design is extremely easy to navigate, making it easy to find the titles you want to play. The one thing I’d like to see added, though, is a search bar so players can quickly return to their favorite games.

PICKEM Slot Games Experience

Upon opening the game library, I immediately found slots to be the overwhelming “top” game section at PICKEM, a common feature at sweepstakes casinos.

I was able to browse these games by provider and sort through their latest top games. When I clicked on a game, I was able to toggle between Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins, and I was also able to see the minimum and maximum wager amount, along with the max payout.

Load times are quick, and some games will have an additional graphic that displays unique features, such as bonuses you can earn while playing.

You cannot change the orientation of a game into a landscape mode; it’ll be vertical, similar to how you use your phone every day.

You can see the RTP% for each game in the information section. This information isn’t available immediately; you’ll need to explore that section. For example, I played Wild Cash X9990, which has an RTP of 96.1%, and for the Buy Bonus, it’s 96.06%.

I tried a dozen different games and was pleasantly surprised by the graphics' quality, but then again, the providers at PICKEM are excellent and deliver for the player base.

I tried some games and had trouble loading Blackjack. However, I was able to get Roulette to open.

Sports Picks and DFS

In addition to the sweepstakes casino platforms at PICKEM, there’s also one—and soon to be two—sports platforms.

Below, I’ll discuss each of them.

Career Mode

In Career Mode, you’ll choose from sports such as football, soccer, and, soon, hockey and basketball.

I chose football because it's the NFL playoffs, and it was right before the Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Houston Texans game.

When I hit “Play,” it took time to search for nine opponents. The goal was to make predictions.

I was presented with moneylines for each team: Steelers +145; Texans -172. I picked the Steelers + at 145. I set my stake at 398 for a payout of up to 975 points. You can also add a card, which is like an additional challenge based on what you think will happen in the game. In this case, it was the home quarterback throwing for 270 passing yards, the away team makes more combined tackles, the home team scores the first touchdown, and any player records 50 receiving yards or more. I selected the latter option, which added 620 points.

I then went to confirm my wager and was met with a message that read, “Tokens refill daily. Stake them or lose them. You can still stake today,” along with a display of how much money I could stake. I went back and edited it to all of my points (1,000), and the final potential payout was 3,070 points.

You can then set up push notifications to stay up to date with what’s happening with your decision.

While playing, you can also collect other cards to add to your picks for increased point winnings.

Also, like with the sweepstakes casino, there are daily missions that you can do and then claim coins.

This is a unique sports experience, unlike anything I’ve seen in sports betting.

Daily Fantasy Sports

DFS is coming, but is currently unavailable at PICKEM. There’s no timeline for a potential release date.

User Feedback and Industry Insight

On Trustpilot, there were just 11 reviews for PICKEM, which is understandable considering how new it is. The platform had a 3.2-star rating out of 5.

There were some positive reviews, such as this one:

This player discusses the verification process and mentions that the redemption was quite slow. To be fair to him, 3 to 5 business days for redemption is definitely slower than most sweepstakes casinos. That said, as the player was satisfied with getting their cash prize, they said they’d update if any other issues arose.

Another player was happy with the stability of the mobile app and mentioned they’d like to see more providers and, hence, more games. This is a fair thing to point out. What PICKEM has is great, but the more the merrier.

Some players didn’t have a great experience, though, such as Melinda. I will say that I also experienced some freezing/clicking on things not working. It seemed random, but was stable more times than not. Still, that’s a valid criticism.

Final Thoughts: An Honest Overview of PICKEM’s Casino

Overall, here are my thoughts: Is PICKEM perfect? No. Does it stand out? Yes.

There’s plenty to address, such as the inconsistent stability of the mobile app with freezes and buttons not working. There could also be more games or a timeline for when the DFS platform will launch. Additionally, the customer support page on mobile isn’t working; I had to use my desktop.

That said, I enjoy the platform's aesthetic, the available games, the promotions, and the unique “sportsbook” mode.

There’s a lot to work with here, and I’ll be keeping tabs on them as time goes on.
