Stake.us is an online sweepstakes casino that launched in 2022, and since that time, they’ve developed several Stake Originals games, including Plinko, Dice, Mines, Chicken, and more. Now, the latest is Moles, a prediction/multiplier game.
After spending some time playing Moles, I focused on the gameplay, how the high-risk/reward system works, how it feels to play, and looked into other mechanics to see if this was a game worth playing.
Below, I’ll provide a complete game review of Stake.us’ Moles game, including what it is, how to play it, how to win, and more.
Moles is a grid-like prediction game from Stake Originals that uses a format reliant on risk-reward, similar to the Stake Original titles like Chicken.

The game features seven holes, and the concept is to make selections manually or automatically to either increase your multiplier, cash out, or have an instant loss condition.
As I mentioned, there are similarities between Moles and the classic arcade game “Whack-A-Mole,” but instead of reacting to moles popping out of the holes, the objective is to use a mallet, pick holes, and if a mole is there, you win.
You can finish there and collect your rewards, or, you can opt to keep going to receive a higher multiplier. However, if you keep going and you lose, you lose everything.
I started off with Manuel mode.

With the Manual mode, you’ll input an amount of Gold Coins or Stake Cash (whatever is toggled on) you want to play with. From there, you can use the dials to the right of that to either halve it or 2x it. You can also manually input how much you want to play with.
From there, there’s a Moles dropdown menu, where you can choose between 1 and 6. This will populate that number of moles on the board.
The fewer moles there are, the higher the multiplier is for getting a selection correct, because there are more options that could result in a loss.
After getting the first selection correct, the multiplier on 6 moles went from 1.14x to 1.33x, whereas with 6 it went from 6.86x to 48.02x.

Again, you can opt to end the game at any time and effectively start over.
Just like with Manual, you’ll put in the amount you want to play with and the number of moles.
The differences include the number of games you want to play and then picking tiles from 1 through 8.

As you can see above, I made four selections, and each was a different tile. The multiplier at the end would be 3.76x if all of my selections, in that order, were correct.

You can opt for something with a gigantic multiplier, such as 1 mole and 8 selections all on one tile.
With this, the mallet would hit the same hole over and over eight times, and if there was a mole there each of the eight times, you’d get the maximum multiplier of 5,649,504.980x.
To win at Moles, it’s simple: Predict and guess as many holes that possess a mole as possible.
The more moles you add, the less the multiplier is, but the more chances there are of winning. So, to win at Moles, you’ll need to be lucky in your selections based on the number of moles you select.
I tried out different tactics to see what would yield the best results, and I have one suggestion for the strategy.
While you could select the same hole each time and, yes, each round is independent of the last, diversifying the holes you choose will increase the overall probability of a win. This way you’re not reliant on one single hole the entire time.
I had fun coming up with different strategies, but ultimately, the game is completely random.
How much you win playing Moles depends entirely on the number of moles you select, between 1 and 6.
Here’s a table of the possible reward structure:

As you can see, the winning structure and Gold Coins/Stake Cash you can receive are drastically different. If you choose to go the safe route, with 6 moles, the smallest multiplier is 1.14x.
The maximum multiplier is 5,649,504.980x when you correctly make eight consecutive selections with just 1 Mole chosen.
The game has an RTP of 98% and there are no bonus rounds.
To learn more about Moles, I wanted to find some feedback from everyday players. To do so, I went over to the r/stakeus subreddit.

This player went to the subreddit looking for strategies, and as the first comment points out, there really isn’t a strategy. Every round of the game is independent from the last, so there’s no way to really reliably plan or strategize your next move.
Some players were offering up their own strategies, but these weren’t gameplay strategies, but more so Gold Coins/Stake Cash management strategies, such as how many Stake.us moles to use, when to leave the game and collect your rewards, and more.

The sentiments were pretty much the same: There wasn’t a strong love for it, but there wasn’t a dislike either.
This appears to be one of those games that’s worth trying out for players, but hasn’t become the top title in the Stake Originals category. During my review of the game, it ranked sixth in the number of concurrent players.
Stake Original Moles is similar to two other titles: Chicken and Crash.
The Stake Chicken game has a payout structure similar to Moles, but the gameplay feels different.
With Chicken, you’ll pick a game difficulty, and click on each circle (which is really more like a sewer cap) and attempt to get your chicken across the road amid traffic, fire coming up from the caps, or the chicken falling through.
So, while these games are similar in that the payouts are based on multipliers, the gameplay feeling is much more engaging with Chicken.

Then there's the Stake Crash game. Crash is another game where you’re given Gold Coins and/or Sweeps Coins based on multipliers. With this game, you’ll pick what multiplier you want to end the game at, and the game will continually progress until it crashes out. Depending on your decision, the game will either reach your multiplier threshold, or it will crash before your threshold is met.

Moles is a new Stake Originals title that is a prediction/multiplier game where the concept is choosing between 1 and 6 Moles, wielding your mallet, and selecting holes with the goal of there being a mole inside of it.
There’s no real way to strategize this game, as each round is completely unique and different from the last. Instead, you’ll want to set up a strategy for yourself in terms of Gold Coins/Stake Cash management.
The game possesses a Manual and Auto mode that both have the same structure; only with Auto, you’ll pre-select which holes for the mallet to choose and how many games you want to play.
I had a fun time playing Moles, and in my opinion, it is a decent addition to Stake Originals. However, I can’t say I was too crazy about the game either, as I am with some other, more engaging games.
According to Stake.us, the house edge is 2%, which means the RTP is 98%.
To play any game at Stake.us, and this includes Moles, you must be 21 or older.
Moles is, without a doubt, a luck-based game. There’s no way to strategize which hole to hit, and each round is independent from the last.
Yes. The risk level is directly tied to the number of moles you select and also how many hits you wish to deliver. Your safest option is to choose only 1 Mole with several hits because this makes your chances of hitting it higher.
No. There’s no direct strategy for Moles other than managing your risk level or Gold Coins/Stake Cash. So, if you search for “How to win Stake Moles game online,” you’ll find that there’s no real way to plan for wins or losses.
