Is ThrillCoins legit? I like what I saw from my first impressions

This is the first question I ask - is the site legit? In the case of ThrillCoins - 100% yes. It does everything I expect a social casino to, and it’s got a great support setup, plus a robust virtual currency system.

No license - no worries

ThrillCoins doesn’t need a license - it’s a sweepstakes casino. Instead, I made sure that it follows US sweepstakes regulations. It definitely does, as it only ever allows you to play its games using the Gold Coin (GC) and Sweeps Coin (SC) virtual currencies, and you can’t make real money deposits here. It also complies with the no purchase necessary requirement for social casinos.

I got quick replies from the live chat for support

I contacted the customer support team using the live chat and I was connected with a rep within a few seconds. I had to enter my name and email address first, but once I’d done that, and requested to speak to a rep via the AI chatbot, I was talking to someone virtually straight away. What impressed me the most though, was the detailed answers they gave - they clearly knew their stuff and were able to easily help with my queries. There is email support too, and an FAQ section.

The website security looks to be spot on

I was confident that ThrillCoins is secure - it uses SSL encryption to protect your data from malicious attacks, and it also has geoblocking to prevent customers from outside the US accessing the site. I also saw a heap of documentation that I expect these sites to have, such as the sweepstakes rules, responsible social gaming info, and a privacy policy.

It’s got a pretty standard virtual currency setup

Gold Coins (GC) and Sweeps Coins (SC) are your two virtual currencies - you can use either for gaming, and you have the chance of getting GC or SC back. You have the option of purchasing GC packages from the GC store starting from $5.99, and I was able to purchase these using debit card, credit card, Apple Pay, or crypto.

SC redemptions are also possible - you’ll need 100 SC minimum, to have met the 1x bonus SC playthrough, and to have completed your profile and fully verified your ID before you can make an SC redemption request though. From my testing, you can use Bank Transfer for SC redemptions, and you can expect to be waiting anywhere between 1-10 business days for redemptions to process.

I got a decent welcome bonus just for signing up

When I signed up here, I got the following:

• 50,000 Gold Coins and 1 Sweeps Coin.

This is OK, but I typically expect to get at least 2 SC from a signup bonus, so there is room for improvement. On top of that though, there’s three potential discounted GC packages you can purchase as a new customer:

• $9.99 for 10,000 GC, and after the GC purchase, get 30 bonus SC.
• $24.99 for 25,000 GC, and after the GC purchase, get 50 bonus SC.
• $49.99 for 50,000 GC, and after the GC purchase, get 65 bonus SC.

I think these are excellent, but please be aware that you can only purchase one of them - I went for the $9.99 GC package as I think this gives the best discount in terms of what you get. And, of course, remember that all GC purchases are optional. You’ll get plenty of bonuses to let you keep playing for free.

The site has loads of other existing player promos

After the welcome bonus, I also saw these other promotional features:

A sweepstakes casino is only as good as the website it runs on, so with this in mind, I spent a while looking at the desktop and mobile usability of ThrillCoins. While there isn’t a downloadable app yet, both the mobile and desktop browser versions of the site work great and are easy to use.

I like the simple and usable design of the desktop site

For the desktop site, you’ve got a simple purple, green, and white color scheme, and I think they’ve done a top job of making the text readable, and giving the site a beginner-friendly layout that new sweepstakes casino customers should easily be able to get to grips with. On the left hand side, you’ve got a nice chunky menu with links to the game categories, promos, and other features, and I love the fact that there is a search bar so you can find specific games to play.

Technically speaking, the site is reliable and safe - I had fast page speeds, no game errors, and all the content was up to date and completed with nothing missing.

I couldn’t find a downloadable mobile app

I hope they add an app in the future, but for now, you’ll have to use your ThrillCoins login on a mobile browser like Chrome if you want to play on your smartphone. I tested it using Opera and it worked fine! You get a more condensed layout that’s better-suited for smaller mobile screens, and from what I can see, you get the full functionality of the desktop website.

Next up for my ThrillCoins reviews I spent a long time trying out the games and seeing if there was decent entertainment value. Indeed there is! This social casino has a massive game collection provided by top developers, and it also features plenty of live dealer games.

The first thing I do when checking out a game library is to look for the publishers - this gives you a great idea of the overall quality and variety. In the case of ThrillCoins, I saw the following producers:

User Feedback and Industry Insights

Due to being a new sweepstakes casino, ThrillCoins has yet to build much of a name for itself on Trustpilot and as of writing, it only has around 70 reviews. However, these reviews currently give ThrillCoins an overall rating of 4.5 stars, which is pretty good.

Holly Boyce is one of the site's positive reviewers who highlighted the excellent customer service, the good deals and bonuses available, and the fast redemption speed. She also made a note of the extra security measure that ThrillCoins seems to take when it comes to the verification process.

Nolan Clark is another positive reviewer of ThrillCoins. He complimented the instant redemptions, the easy verification process, and the great game selection, seeming especially pleased by the KA Gaming and Hacksaw titles.

However, not everyone is happy with their experience so far and the most common complaint I could find amongst negative reviewers pertained to slow redemptions.

Ashley Eve stated that although she has been told her account and card are verified, her redemptions keep failing. Customer service were unable to help and had to escalate it to the compliance team, but after a week Ashley is still waiting on her redemption and unable to get ahold of anyone despite emailing.

Conclusion - I will continue playing at ThrillCoins for sure
