Make sure you’re in an approved US state

Is Winera legit?

When I landed on their website, I confirmed that it was run by Playnest Limited, a company registered in Gibraltar. They do provide a complete address, too. I also found plenty of explanations about the sweepstakes casino format, confirming that it’s free to play there and you don’t need to purchase any Gold Coins if you don’t want to.

Finally, if you’re wondering about the validity of a casino license, there’s no need to be concerned. Since Winera runs as a sweepstakes casino, it doesn’t need to apply for or hold a regular casino license. It’s available in all states that allow sweepstakes. You can find a list of the prohibited states in their sweepstakes rules for clarity.

This is one of the most important parts of my Winera review. Even if you doubt that you’ll want to purchase any Gold Coins, it’s still good to know how you might do so.

While Winera mentions other fiat methods, I didn’t find those in place when I visited the site to research this review. What about SC redemptions?

As for Sweeps Coin redemptions, you need to play your SCs 1x before you can redeem SC winnings - and you’ll need a minimum of 50 SCs to begin the process. That’s half the amount many other sweepstakes casinos ask you to reach. Note that according to their sweepstakes rules, the playthrough may be raised to 20x at most, but then many similar sites have a similar caveat, just like in the small print.

How long does Winera take to pay out?

You can redeem Sweeps Coin winnings via crypto as well - and Winera confirms they process SC redemption requests very quickly. While it can take up to 48 hours, you might receive your prize within a couple of hours - and very likely within one day.

Has Winera made a good effort with their customer service?

First up, I found an FAQ page that functions well as a first stop for getting some more info on topics you want to know more about. Don’t discount the sweepstakes rules either, as you can learn a lot from reading those.

You can also send the team an email if you get stuck and need more help. Finally, I found what appeared to be a live chat feature, but you need to complete the form and send it to them to get a response, so it doesn’t seem to be live in the normal sense. I used it a couple of times to test it and found I typically got a reply within around half an hour. I guess this might vary, so bear that in mind.

Should you expect to see a VIP program at Winera sweepstakes casino?

This is an interesting one. I checked out the promotions section on the Winera website and did find some Gold Coin packages that were marked with a VIP logo. They’ve marked those as follows:

• Elite
• Mega
• Whale

However, they don’t connect to standard VIP levels - instead, each one displays details of an optional Gold Coin package you can purchase if you wish. They also have standard GC packages available, but as you know, you don’t need to purchase any of those. Hopefully, they might create a proper VIP program at some point, and I’ll tell you about it here if that happens.
