While in college, Blake Griffin suffered a sprained MCL. That same year he had to have surgery for torn cartilage. Somehow despite these injuries, as soon as Blake was on the court he was jumping like he had brand new legs. After being the number one pick in the draft we were robbed of Blake's true rookie season when he broke his left kneecap after a dunk in a preseason game. He came back next year to have one of the most exciting rookie seasons of alltime and then in his second full season he made the allstar team while giving us the best dunks since Vinsanity was ruling Sportscenter.
Now he has the chance to show his above the rim style game on an international stage and just days after footage of him throwing dunk contest winning dunks in practice he tears his Meniscus and will miss the Olympics.
This is what worries me. Blake is injury prone and when he's not colliding with defenders in the air on dunk attempts he falling to the ground on flops. I'm afraid we are going to be robbed off hundreds of Blake dunks because of his body and style of play. I'm hoping he bounces back like he's been doing for the past few years but everytime he tears or sprains another thing in those bionic legs I get more worried.
