The 2016 Camp Right Way-Chicago featured approximately 200 top 7th-8th graders from 23 states plus a few from Canada and overseas.
For 2 days Coach John Lucas and his staff guided the campers through drills as well as 5 on 5 games.
While there were many high-level, unselfish guards, there was no doubt that Kevin “Boopie” Miller stood out among the crowd.
One of only 6 Chicago players we counted at the camp, 8th grader Miller showed his point guard skills all weekend. Constantly attacking and
driving on defenders, 13 year old Miller also distributed the ball well, playing alongside Tevin Smith another elite 8th grader from Illinois.
This isn’t our first time catching Boopie at Lucas Camp, we look forward to following him as he’s expected to lead South Side
Providence-Englewood Elementary Charter again this school season.
