Carmelo Anthony Scores 33 points (26 straight) in 1 quarter – Watch full quarter uncut

“My 3-ball was going in, driving to the basket, getting fouled — just a complete game tonight,” – Melo

Flashback to the 3rd quarter of the Nuggets/TWolves game on December 10th 2008 when Carmelo Anthony made history by tying George Gervin for most points in a quarter with 33 (26 straight). He finished with 45 because he only hit 3 of 9 shots in the first half for 9 points.

Doug Moe was a Nuggets consultant during this season and he was also the coach of the Spurs when Gervin scored his 33 in a quarter.  Gervin finished his game with 63 points which was enough for him to win the scoring title over David Thompson who set the record for most points in a quarter (32) just hours before Gervin broke it.

For the Kobe fanatics that want to see his name in every post about any other player.  Kobe has scored 30 in a quarter twice making him the only player to have 30+ points in a quarter more than once.  Wilt, MJ & Vernon Maxwell have also done it.

If you missed it back then, here’s your chance to see the entire quarter uncut below.
