With Nike taking over as the NBA’s uniform provider next season, there’s certain perks to having your own company that blossomed through another. The Charlotte Hornets will be the very first team in NBA history to don Jordan Brand uniforms.

All other 29 NBA teams will have the swoosh branded onto their jerseys. While the Hornets will have the jumpman logo draped onto their threads. Pretty sweet deal right? Especially if you’re a avid fan of the jumpman.

Jordan brand first came into the picture back in ’85 when Nike produced the Air Jordan 1 sneaker. That was just icing on the cake. Jordan brand since then has produced 31 signature sneakers along with sponsors outside of basketball. Including apparel, football merchandise, baseball products, training gear, and even sponsoring non-basketball athletic programs such as Michigan and North Carolina college football organizations.

Wouldn’t be surprised if the entire roster on the Hornets were to be draped in Jordan brand gear on & off the court. We’ll have to wait until next season to see. (we’re looking at you Batum)
