D-League: Rockets’ Montrezl Harrel Puts up 31pts, 8rebs & 6blks In Double OT Thriller

This isn’t a knock on any professional player working hard in the D-League but I’m not sure the Houston Rockets’ Montrezl Harrell needs to be in it. He, along with high-flying K.J. McDaniels, were sent to the D-League on Friday and on Saturday, Harrell put up 31 points (12-24 fg), 8 rebounds and 6 blocks in a double OT thriller. Most NBA players assigned to the D-League put up big stats but the former NCAA Champion looked like a man among boys in this game. Unfortunately, he did commit a big turnover near the end of the game.

Teammate K.J. McDaniels also played well and filled up the stat sheet with 16 points, 15 rebounds and 7 assists.

As for the Santa Cruz Warriors, they got a career-high 48 out of Elliot Williams and a game-winner from Aaron Craft.
