Damian Lillard Drops Freestyle Over Mobb Deep’s Classic “Shook Ones”

Marley Marl – one of the greatest and most unappreciated hip-hop producers of all-time – once said, if there was one song he wish he would have produced it would have been “Shook Ones” off of Mobb Deep’s 1995 breakthrough album “The Infamous.”

On Tuesday the often unappreciated Damian Lillard aka the underrated Dame D.O.L.L.A, along with V.I.P, dropped a freestyle over the epic Mobb Deep beat and once again showed the world that he’s not only the best rapping basketball player in the game right now, he’s one of the best rappers out right now.

Last of a dying breed and they taking me for granted
I represent the ones working for nothing handed
The world is all backwards, how we lazy and demanding
We ain’t working towards dreams, we just working towards mansions.

Yeah, I’ll take those lyrics any day over most of the mumbling on the radio nowadays. And yeah, i’m still listening to this.

And this classic from the same album featuring a young Nas and Chef.
