D'Angelo Russell Scores 22 1st Half Points, Leads Lakers To Perfect Summer League Record

Monday's 78-65 victory for the Lakers and the (Who Are These) Warriors was ugly: The Warriors shot less than 30% from the field and Lakers starters Brandon Ingram and Larry Nance both failed to make a field goal. Thankfully, D'Angelo Russell was there.

Russell, coming off his "I played like $hit" game, connected on 9 of 13 shots and 4 of 7 3-pointers in 24 minutes for a game-high 26 points - 22 of those 26 came in the first half with 5'11 Keifer Sykes guarding him.

The victory also gave the Lakers a perfect 3-0 Vegas Summer League record and a 1st round bye in the tournament. But don't bet too much on the Lakers winning the tournament. If they make it to the finals, which takes place on July 18th, they will probably have to play without Russell and Ingram since they are both members of the USA Select team, which has training camp on that same day.
