I feel real bad for everybody who paid to watch the Clippers and Blazers play on Monday night. Besides having to see Chris Paul (ribs) and Damian Lillard (stomach ache) leave in the 3rd quarter, they had to watch a desperate Portland team send DeAndre Jordan to the free throw line 34 times – 9 times in the final 4 minutes!
“That just means more practice,” said DJ. “It gets boring. And it makes me miss my reservations after the game. But other than that, it’s the same.”
Jordan did miss 10 of those final 18 and 22 of the total 34 but the Blazers couldn’t make a shot – 18 point 1st quarter & 15 point 3rd quarter – so the result was a 102-87 win for the Clips.
Besides breaking World B Free’s franchise record (29) for free throw attempts, Jordan also had a season-high 24 rebounds to go with his 18 points and 2 blocks.
