Derrick Jones is making a strong case for the best dunker not only in high school but in the nation period with his incredible highflying display at the 2014 City of Palms Dunk Contest! He single handedly upstaged any NBA dunk contest in recent memory.
“This means a lot to me because I am a dunker,” Jones said. “Winning this dunk contest is an experience of a lifetime.”
The UNLV commit’s winning dunk was a spectacular dunk over 6’9 Ben Simmons and 6’9 Harry Giles III and a nice encore to his poster dunk on 6’7 Cody Riley from Friday’s games.
