Down by two with a little less than a minute left in Game 3, Kevin Durant grabs a rebound off a missed three from Kyle Korver (my 9-year old non-basketball fan of a daughter yells, "Don't let the white guy shoot!"), dribbles down the court, pulls up from behind the three-point line and hits a cold-blooded game-winner over the hands of LeBron James. While I was shaking my head and praising the soon-to-be NBA Champion, my daughter says, "Steph Curry is pooping on the floor."
What?!
She repeats and I rewind the video and crack up at the sight of Curry pulling a Randy Moss and looking like he was really was really shitting on the Cleveland court after KD's shot...
Besides the imaginary pile of shit he may or may not have put on the floor, the Chef, wearing the nicest UA Curry sneakers ever, also put up 26 points, a team-high 13 boards -- 10 more than Tristan Thompson -- and six assists in the win. 10 of those 26 points came off of insulting and demoralizing threes that just makes a defender feel like shit.
Speaking of piles of shit and feeling like shit, here's what a few other guys did on the court in Game 3.
- Zaza Pachulia: 0 points, 1 rebounds, 4 turnovers, 4 fouls in 13 minutes
- Iman Shumpert: 2 points, 1 assists, 2 fouls, 0-3 shooting in 12 minutes
- Deron Williams: 0 points, 1 foul, 0-2 shooting in 4 minutes (still scoreless in the Finals)
- Tristan Thompson: 0 points, 3 rebounds(!!!), 1 turnover, 1 foul, 0-1 shooting in 23 minutes
As for not so shitty performances, besides the game-winner, Kevin Durant had 31 points on 10 for 18 shooting, 8 boards, 4 assists, 1 steal, 1 block and 3 turnovers in 41 minutes.
And here's a pretty funny version of the game-winner with audio from a fan going insane after watching a past game-winner.
I'm sure there's going to be one or two oversensitive people who will take this post too seriously, think I'm criticizing Curry for whatever he was really doing and give me shit for having fun. Hopefully this video of Kyrie Irving will serve as an apology.
