Just saw the new poster for Expendables 2 and the late 80s kid in me just got excited while the adult me  started thinking that  this film franchise is a lot like the Miami Heat.   They are recruiting one “star” after another (welcome Chuck Norris & Van Damme to the Action Allstar party) and it will probably do gang busters at the box office, make a profit, entertain a lot of people while getting hate from the critics and older people (like me) and in the end the film has no chance at winning any awards*

 

* Don’t start bashing me because of the punchline. I do think the Heat have a good chance of winning the championship
