The Player Formerly Known As Bill Walker Is Still A Skywalker, Sick Dunk vs the 76ers

Did you see Henry Walker's sick dunk against the 76ers last night? Did you know Henry Walker is the player formerly known as Bill Walker.  You know, the former Celtic and Knick who despite 3 serious knee injuries could posterize guys like Theo Ratliff....

and Andrew Bogut...

The Heat signed him earlier in the week and in his Miami debut he had 11 points with 3 3-3 pointers and 1 highlight worthy dunk in just 21 minutes.  Hopefully those numbers are worthy enough to get him some more PT and keep him in the league.

If you wondering what's up with the name change, here's what he told D-League Digest.

“I need to show them (NBA scouts) some maturity. I used to be young and did some bonehead stuff, so showing everyone a level of maturity and some consistency is probably what I need to do.” said the 27 year old Walker.

“It’s just about growing up, I never liked the name Billy and everybody called me that. My Mom even wondered why everyone called me Billy? I just wanted to get out of it. I’m growing up and getting older, and I just felt like it was time to drop that name.”

I'll just keep calling him Skywalker (who asked to be in the 2011 NBA dunk contest when Brandon Jennings dropped out but was not invited by the NBA)
