Here's What Definitely Did Not Happen Between Donovan Mitchell, His GF & Jordan Bell During A Summer League Game

Thanks to the choice of shots by ESPN and a fun imagination, here's what some people on the internet thought (or hoped) happened in the fourth quarter of Friday's Summer League game between Kawhi Leonard's possible future LA team not named the Lakers and the team that "ruined the NBA": Jordan Bell blocked a shot, then looked over at Donovan Mitchell and his lovely girlfriend, made a phone call hand gesture, and said the title of the only Carly Rae Jepsen song you probably know.

When the player's choice for Rookie Of The Year saw a tweet with this story, he laughed about it and let everyone know "that's definitely not what happened."

Jordan Bell responded, then the two friends confirmed something we all know: NOBODY fights in the NBA anymore.

What Bell did do was put up 6 points, 11 boards, 5 assists, 3 blocks and 2 steals in just 28 minutes.

And if you were wondering who is Donovan's girl, her name is Deja Lighty and I don't recommend you trying to shoot your shot with her. Mitchell is pretty tough and the last thing you want is for him and his Utah gang -- Joe Ingles, Rudy Gobert, Jesus and new gang member Grayson Allen -- coming for you.

And I can't mention Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe" without sharing the Childish Gambino version.
