November 1st marks the day Nike Basketball and Kobe announced their continued partnership by unveiling the first Kobe signature sneaker upon his recent retirement party. The Kobe A.D.
The Kobe A.D. is the first sneaker under Kobe’s signature line with Nike to surface during his post-retirement days. Continuing a legacy of lightweight performance and low profile on court performance, Kobe and Nike look to continue their dominance in the basketball sneaker industry even though Kobe isn’t competing on the hardwood like we’re used to seeing him. (We miss you Kobe)
Nike hosted a “Dias De Muertos” themed event at an art gallery space here in Los Angeles to promote and announce the unveiling of the Kobe A.D. The gallery better known as MAMA Gallery played host to multiple art installations in honor of Kobe and the legacy that he has left behind, although continuing to push innovation and top notch performance through multiple platforms.
The Kobe A.D. continues to push boundaries on what a high level basketball performance sneaker should be. Featuring responsive, flexible cushioning and maximum court feel, the Kobe A.D. ensures lock down performance for quick cuts to either get buckets or to lock down your opponent.
The Kobe A.D. is set for a retail release date of November 21st for $160. You can cop your pair via Nike.com or your select Nike retailers.
