Isaiah Thomas is averaging 21.4 points a game off the bench for the Boston Celtics and the C’s are 6-4 since acquiring him. Last night was much of the same as Thomas racked up teams-highs of 25 points and 4 assists in a win against Dwyane Wade and the Heat.
“Thomas had a great impact on that second half,” Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said. “We had trouble corralling him on whatever the pick-and-roll coverage was … and if he did miss or somebody else missed, they definitely won the 50-50 battle.”
Thomas also hit the dagger in the 4th quarter when he made a 3-pointer with 2:36 left to give the Celtics a 9 point lead.
