Orlando’s Darrell Armstrong probably still has nightmares about the 1999 playoff series against Iverson and the 76ers. He had 25 turnovers in the four-game series, including 9 in a Game 3 loss. Most of those turnovers were caused by Allen Iverson, who had a playoff-record 10 steals to go with his 33 points, 5 boards and 5 assists in a 97-85 win.
Armstrong did bounce back in Game 4 with 18 points, 8 assists and “only” 4 turnovers but Iverson (37 PTS) and the 76ers were just too much as they brought out the brooms on the Magic.
30 & 10 CLUB
The only other players in NBA history with 30 points and 10 steals are Alvin Robertson (30/10) and Michael Jordan (32/10). Both were in the regular season.
