Detroit Bad Boy John Salley has to be one of the most interesting basketball personalities in NBA history who didn't become an "interesting basketball personality" by over-the-top behavior, suspensions and arrests. He's interesting because of his success and body of work on and off the court.

He might be most known as a member of the 80's Pistons that beat up Michael Jordan, but in 1996, he joined MJ in Chicago to win his third ring. After having to endure the inaugural season of the Toronto Raptors and then being rewarded with a 72-win season, he retired, only to be called back by Coach Phil Jackson to play with the NBA Champion Lakers and Shaq - who was beaten by Phil and John's Bulls in the 96 playoffs.

After getting his fourth ring, he retired again, and was able to spend more time appearing in the most random music videos, TV shows and films. His filmography has him playing everything from a tall elf in a Disney film to a tall computer hacker in the Bad Boys films to a tall pimp named Kotex in Black Dynamite.

According to famous porn star Lisa Ann, who was recently on the Howard Stern Show, John has been doing the wrong type of films and he's more John Holmes than he is John Candy, Goodman or Belushi.

Lisa -- who's seen plenty of penises in her lifetime -- went on Howard Stern last month, and said Salley's sausage DWARFED every other schlong she's ever seen. By a long shot. We won't go into the details, but she basically said it was like squeezing salami through a keyhole.

 When TMZ asked John about the testimonial, he just said, "I take all compliments."

He also seems to take all gigs too: He's been the host of Basketball Wives,  Best Damn Sports Show Period, I Can't Believe You Said That; A podcast called Spider and the Henchman; A judge on RuPaul's Drag Race, and He's a Lady; A participant on multiple reality shows, including Fast Cars and Superstars, Millionaire Matchmaker and I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!

With all of the odd works in John's portfolio, the only outrageous thing on there for me is when the 6'11" vegan was on ESPN's Colin Cowherd Show and said Michael Jordan is not even in his top 5 greatest players ever list and then ran off the names Magic, Bird, Kareem, Hakeem, McHale and Bad Boy teammate Isiah Thomas.

I guess once a Bad Boy always a Bad Boy.
