The Jordan Flight Truck Cuts Through L.A.

On Sunday, 10/21, Jordan Brand culminated their tour of Los Angeles with CP3 Day at the LA Fire Academy. The event was cracking from start to finish with people from all over Los Angeles and Orange County coming through to experience the shoe and brand activations first-hand . Power 106 DJ, Justin Credible kept the crowd engaged during the event with CP giveaways. The Flight Truck was also at the Fire Academy letting everyone wear test the CP3.VI through the CP Skills Challenge. The lines were ridiculous as everyone wanted to see how the CP3.VI performed. Sneakerheads, local high school teams, and tons of kids wear-tested the shoes, and every contestant was competing for the chance to get a free pair of the CP3.VIs. Many of the fans commented on how  comfortable the shoes were, how surprisingly light they felt, and how much traction the shoes had on outdoor court.

The Flight Truck wasn’t the only vehicle on the premises as Jordan Brand brought out three souped-up street racing cars that matched perfectly with the CP3.VI “Nitro Pack” collection. Each car was on full display as it was detailed and customized in every aspect from the paint job to the rims for each specific color way. Fans were so taken back by the LA street racing influencer that many wanted CP to race some of the cars to see which was quicker.

The event also included a star-studded celebrity game featuring some of the biggest names in the hip-hop community. The Game and Common were the two captains of the game that also included former NBA star Jalen Rose, actors Anthony Anderson (Guys with Kids), Jesse Williams (Cabin in the Woods), Pooch Hall (The Game; Jumping the Broom) Trevor Jackson (Eureka, Broadway's Lion King), Khleo Thomas (Holes; Roll Bounce), Affion Crockett and many others as Chris Paul watched on the side. After Paul talked about his shoe at halftime the real surprise was unveiled as CP decided to lace up his kicks and get on the court and play as a member of Common’s team. CP3 definitely showed the traction control of the shoes as he sliced and diced through the celebs and eventually hit the game winning 3 pointer in over time.

Overall, Jordan Brand did a great job throughout the month of really giving the LA locals a chance to see, feel, and experience the CP3.VI. In all, The Flight Truck covered most of LA from the Westside and Southbay to Mid-City all the way through to the Eastside hitting up local high schools, retail stores, community centers and parks. From kids to grandparents, everyone said the shoes were one of the most comfortable shoes they ever worn.  Jordan Brand and the Flight Truck gave LA a chance to truly interact with the shoes and LA took advantage of the opportunity. The Flight Truck cut through LA and brought the CP3.VI a whole new experience to Los Angeles.
