Kendrick Lamar Makes Complex Magazine top 50 Stylish + Kendrick talks about growing up in Compton

Check out one of hip hop’s rising stars Kendrick Lamar featuring in
the hottest magazine on the shelves, Complex Magazine.
We told you guys months ago during our Ballislife All-American Game,
where Kendrick performed, that this young artist will be crowned, “King
of the West.” He’s been in the studio working hard creating artistic

urban music to be the new face of the west coast. Kendrick and his
TDE alliance, which includes artists such as Absoul, Schoolboy Q, and Jay
Rock, deserve a lot of credit for becoming one of hip hop’s biggest
names in only 2 years time. Even though these guys have been grinding
for years now, it was only 2 years ago when hip hop mogul and
producer, Dr. Dre, announced on Power 106 that he was interested in
working with a young artist from Compton by the name of Kendrick Lamar.
Shortly after, Kendrick released a song by the name of Detox
which included Dre’s message in the beginning. Bar for bar, rhyme for rhyme,

he killed the beat and has been moving up in the rankings ever
since. Just recently, Kendrick appeared on BET’s 106 and Park where
they released his new single/video entitled Swimming Pools which will be featured on his debut album scheduled to
release this fall. Here he is now making Complex’s Top 50 Most Stylish
Men in the game. Also, Kendrick talks about life and growing up on the
mean streets of Compton.
