It’s gotta be the shoes. After a slow start that included 0 for 8 from the 3-point line, Kevin Durant changed his shoes during halftime and then almost outscored the Lakers team in the 4th quarter 21-19.
“He just continued to play the game and do what he has done all season,” teammate and former Laker Derek Fisher said. “He is one of the best I have seen in terms if really just playing through anything and everything.”
Durant finished the game with 43 points (14-33 shooting & 2-13 from downtown) 12 rebounds and 7 assists. The 43 marked the 7th time he has scored 40+ points since the New Year and the 12 rebounds gave him his 4th consecutive double double although the first DD was with assists.
