Jay-Z was there. The Geto Boys were there. Bun-B was there and Slim Thug aka the rapping NBA recruiter and Houston tourism guide was at Beyonce's concert last night in Houston, TX.  Who wasn't in attendance was H-Town's favorite new resident Dwight Howard. I was really expecting the Dwight Howard Welcome to Houston tour to make a stop at the show considering the hysteria in Houston over Howard in the past few days.

This past weekend, the Rockets brought back a bunch of Rocket big men legends including fan favorite Yao Ming to introduce Dwight to thousands of hyped up Houstonians.  The Dwight loving/Shaq dissing kid in the video above was a dime a dozen during the fan rally.

“Dwight Howard is the best center in the league. Shaq! Shaq! I want to say one thing to you Shaq! Don’t ever disrespect Houston like that again! Don’t ever disrespect Houston! H-Town baby!”

Then on Monday morning, the Kolache Factory gave out free (very delicious) kolaches to anybody in Houston that name dropped Dwight Howard's name until 10am.   There's billboards and restaurant signs all over Houston welcoming Dwight and rolling out the red carpet for the missing puzzle piece.

But as crazy in love as many Houstonians are about the new center, they still rather bow down to born in Queen B as evident by the true hysterical fans seen at her concert last night.
