KOBE! KOBE! KOBE!

It’s not often you get to hear Celtics’ fans chanting the name of a Lakers player, especially in a loss, but on Wednesday night, Kobe Bryant found a way to convert booing Boston fans into cheering Kobe fans. Up by 2 with a little less than 2 minutes left in regulation, Kobe hit a deep clutch 3-pointer which caused a Lakers bench eruption, cheers from the Boston crowd and even a laugh from hated Celtics commentator  Tommy Heinsohn.

“I wish I could do more to show my gratitude to them,” said Bryant, who  finished the game with his first double double of the season (15 points and 11 rebounds) and 173rd of his career. “It’s a weird feeling walking across center court, looking down at that logo. I tried to cherish it as much as I can.

“I can’t believe this is the last time I’m going to be here. It seems like just yesterday we were playing in the finals.”

Speaking of Celtics and Lakers Finals, here’s what Lakers legend James Worthy had to say about the Lakers winning the game.

“GET THAT CELTICS ASS”
