Darko?
I think the writers and producers of the show IZombie, along with A LOT of other people, owe Kristaps Porzingis an apology. Not only has the new “Putback King” shown more potential in 2 months than The Serbian Gangster showed in his first 2 years (hell, entire career), Kristaps is showing on a nightly basis that he has the potential to be one of the best players in the league.
On Tuesday night against the Hornets, the 20 year old Latvian who heard boos on draft night was hearing the MSG crowd chanting his name, while he put up a career-high 29 points to go with 11 boards and became the youngest Knick to ever have a 25 & 10 game.
“Sooner or later, yeah. I wasn’t expecting it to be right now,” said Porzingis about being accepted by the MSG crowd. “But with the hype and being in New York City, it happens that quick.”
Maybe the sweetest thing about Porzingis making history in New York was Knicks legendary big men Willis Reed and Patrick Ewing were in attendance to see his big game.
“It’s still a learning process for him but tonight was a big game, a big way to step up and take control of the game offensively, knock down shots, be aggressive out there, and I’m pretty sure it’ll be the first of many,” Carmelo Anthony said after the win.
