Shoot first, ask questions later. That seemed to be the motto of referee Ken Mauer after shooting off techs like an automatic weapon at every Raptor standing where LeBron James was standing, before he flew backwards and dropped to the ground as if he was just hit with a shotgun blast. What hit him was an inadvertent elbow from pissed off teammate Tristan Thompson.
The refs did review the play and reversed the techs on innocent bystanders DeMarre Carroll and Bismack “the $#it out of the Cavs” Biyombo, Kyrie Irving then shot the two free throws to pull the Cavs within 16 in the first half!
Late in the 4th quarter, LeBron was accused of doing more prep work for his acting role in Space Jam 2 when he got a little over dramatic after a foul by Biyombo. The refs bought it and awarded Biyombo with a flagrant.
The Raptors would go on to win 99-84 to give the Cavs their first loss of this year’s playoffs. LeBron finished with 24 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals and unofficially 2 flops.
