He can blame the dark carbon-fiber mask he’s wearing to protect his broken nose the reason why Melo dunked on him and blocked his shot but LeBron looked pretty good, and sometimes scary, with the mask on in last night’s victory over the Knicks.  Good enough for 31 points including 11 in the opening quarter.  Good enough to call a 3 pointer by Ray Allen before it even happens.

“He played like Batman,” said Chris Bosh.

I’m not sure if that’s good or bad since I don’t think Bruce Wayne plays basketball and with the exception of George Clooney, the actors (Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer, Christian Bale) don’t play ball either.

But LeBron’s mask did spawn hundreds of pics, memes, gifs and other media, many referencing Batman and Bane, on the internet last night.  Here’s my favorites.
