Have you heard any Giannis Antetokounmpo stories lately? I'm obviously kidding because unless you are blind you have probably seen the latest cover of SI or read a hundred articles about the future All-Star over the past few days.
During the Bucks loss to the Knicks on Friday, Giannis had another impressive line with 25 points, 6 rebounds, 5 blocks, 2 assists, 2 steals and 2 threes. The most memorable of those 5 blocks came in the 2nd quarter when he possibly got away with a goaltend and had fans in the front row making some mean mugging faces and even had a blind guy (?!) celebrating. I'm assuming that guy doesn't have an opinion on whether the block was a goaltend or not.
And don't take this post too seriously and think I'm being an a$$ to people with disabilities. I have a good friend who is blind...but I haven't talked to him in almost 20 years so I guess I'm not that good of a friend.
Anyways, back to Giannis, he also got a little taste of being blocked and ending up on the wrong side of the highlights: Joakim Noah dunked on him in the 4th quarter and fellow unicorn Kristaps Porzingis swatted Giannis twice.
