Overtime Elite is back. Well, in fact, it never went anywhere. It simply pivoted. Rather than housing and educating athletes based out of the Atlanta compound, OTE has still maintained its 8 team league with a home base of the gorgeous OTE Arena in Midtown Atlanta.
Mainstays such as Dynamic Prep (Faze), Moravian Prep (YNG Dreamerz) and Calvary Christian (Fear of God) join new faces Southeastern Prep (RWE), CIA Bella Vista (City Reapers), Woodstock Academy (Hellstar), Christopher Columbus High School (Cold Hearts), and Coronado (Diamond Doves) to fill out the franchises in the league.
Scouts, players, fans, and coaches alike all got a glimpse of the 2026-27 OTE campaign with the OTE Pro Day. With well over 50 D-1 coaches and NBA executives in attendance, the OTE Pro Day brought out no shortage of competitive nature amongst the group. While playing for keeps in live games, the players were also cheering one and other on during the drills because they wanted everyone to get their shine. The opportunity to showcase their stuff in front of NBA decision makers did not go unnoticed, either.
“I wanted to show NBA teams my versatility on both the offensive and defensive side. My ability to guard all five positions and being aggressive both on and off the ball,” five star senior Ahmed Nur told Ballislife of what he was able to show NBA brass. “Also, my ability to communicate, be a good leader, and a good teammate.”
Nur did, but he was far from the only one who left a lasting impression. Here’s a look at six standouts who caught our eye at the 2026 OTE Pro Day:

Beckham Black, 6'4, PG, RWE
The prototypical point guard in today’s game, Beckham Black brought all of the measurables that you hope for out of a lead guard. Standing 6-foot-4 in shoes with a 6’7 wingspan, he posted a 40 inch max vertical, which was highest of anyone at the Pro Day. Furthermore, he finished in the top 5 in the 3/4 court sprint and as a spot up three point shooter, Black made some outstanding reads in live play as a facilitator in pick and rolls, showcasing his high level passing with either hand in front of NBA scouts. Considered by many to be the top lead guard in the class of 2027, Beckham didn’t do anything to disprove that sentiment in Atlanta.
Cayden Daughtry, 6'1, PG, Cold Hearts
Not far behind Black in most rankings is Cayden Daughtry, the most productive playmaker in the class of 2027. Measuring 6’1 in shoes, Daughtry also had the fastest ¾ court spring (3.172 seconds) and lane agility (10.215 seconds) ,which proved incredibly impressive for a player that many didn’t consider a freak athlete. With his sweet spot as a shooter, Daugthry finished in the top five in the 3 point star drill, pull-up jumpers, and spot up 3-pointers (where he was first at an astounding 88%). A straight up winner, everyone in the nation saw the magical season that Daughtry had with the Florida Rebels on the Nike EYBL and the super driven senior enters his final high school campaign with a chip on his shoulder.
Ahmed Nur, 6'10, SF, City Reapers
Always known as a big wing, Ahmed Nur put it in numbers at the OTE Pro Day, measuring 6-foot-10 in shoes with a 7’2 wingspan. The Minneapolis native showed his unique game in live play, killing people with his hang dribble pull-up jumper and utilizing his long arms to convert on unique finders around defenders. Still far from making a decision collegiately, the Somali-American prospect is locked in to taking his game to new heights with defending EYBL Scholastic champion and FAB 50 No. 1 CIA Bella Vista.

Akol Nyok, 7'1, C, Cold Hearts
The biggest player the event had to offer has also seen his recruitment explode more than anyone, referring to 7-foot-1 Akol Nyok. The South Sudanese big man put his 7-foot-4 wingspan to work at the event, but more importantly, he appears to constantly be gaining confidence as a prospect. We first saw Nyok when he won MVP of the Pangos All East Frosh/Soph Camp, but injuries set him back a while. Fast forward to April of this year and he was being recruited by low major schools when we saw him at the Puma PRO16 Detroit stop. With an absurd summer, the South Sudanese big man now has virtually every school in the country recruiting him and showed NBA scouts what he can potentially be down the road, both as a rim protector and lob threat.
Jalen Taggart, 6'4, SG, Hellstar
A player I had a limited sample size of leading into the OTE Pro Day, Jalen Taggart immediately made his impact felt in the live play. The gritty two guard shot the ball well from the 3-point line (84% in drills), was a tough finisher once he got downhill, and brought a high level of production to Atlanta. A focal point for new OTE addition Woodstock Academy, Taggart should have no shortage of high major suitors if he continues at this rate, despite being unranked at the moment.
Godson Okokoh, 6'8, PF, City Reapers
A model of constant improvement, Godson Okokoh showed his upside in front of NBA scouts at the OTE Pro Day. Measuring 6"8 with a 7'2.5 wingspan and a top-5 standing vertical, he meets the physical profile you look for out of a forward in today's game. The former Pangos Frosh/Soph Camp MVP was also exceptional with his pull-up jumper (shot 80%) making him super intriguing as a developing forward.

Cayden Daughtry plays for Fear of God, going into his 3rd year with them.
