I saw a lot of players this past weekend at North Lake (Irving, Texas) for the Duel in DFW to Rockwall, Texas for the New Balance P32 Regional. I evaluated a ton of top prospects as the spring eval period heats up!
I clean out my notebook from my time at the New Balance P32 regional in Dallas with some quick hitters on 2027s I liked.
2027 Prospects
Deuce Hunt, 6’0 CG - Max Levels: Southpaw bucket getter that can get en fuego at an instant.
Jeff Ekpe, 6’7 PF - Team Nation: Interesting face-up 4 with an array of skills and just needs to put it all together.
Jayden Harding, 6’4 SG - Team Nation: Southpaw spot-up threat that loves the mid-range pull.
Josiah McGowen, 6’1 PG - RL9: Crafty pg who’s a versatile shot creator.
AJ Burdine, 6’6 SF - Max Levels: Gangly wing that’s a dependable standstill and movement shooter at this space.
Ghaven Mittal, 6’5 Wing - Behind The Scenes: Wing with fine positional size and at his best when attacking closeouts. Steady offensive option.
Cash Davis, 6’4 SG - RL9: High motor marksman that plays his role well.
Malachi Booker, 6’7 PF - RL9: Bruising four man that gets his outside shot going when he imposes his will in the paint first.
Roman Dulin, 5’11 PG - Family Ties: Fun to watch guard that plays with a chip on his shoulder.
Elijah Yarbrough, 6’6 PF - Family Ties: Powerfully built forward that’s been a nightmare to guard this spring.
Hans Patagoc, 6’1 PG - Behind the Scenes: Quick point guard that was an effective scorer and playmaker in transition. Constantly moving.
Karson Jones, 6’0 PG - S2N: Game managing pg that makes the right play 9-out-of-10 times.
Brandon Stephens, 6’4 SG - Max Levels Braddock: Athletic and strong 2-guard that will benefit taking the extra year.
Jayden Johnson, 6’5 SF/PF - Team Phoenix Black: Hard-playing, rebounding tweener that was an interior play finisher and clean-up artist this past weekend.
Xzavier Booker, 6’0 PG - Max Levels Butler: Tank built guard packed with a strong scoring punch.
Ja’Meir Hayfort, 6’7 PF/SF - Texas Summit: One of the most intriguing 2027 prospects I saw this weekend between New Balance and The Circuit. A 6’6ish 6’7 tweener that has an unorthodox game, but is equipped with long arms, good vertical bounce, soft touch and a functional handle. College coaches will be on this one soon enough.
Blake Wilson, 6’2 PG - Texas Summit: Sturdy built downhill threat that’s a fine decision maker off his drive game.
