The 2026 New Balance P32 season has officially come to an end. In its second year, the P32 quickly showed that it will be around for a while and the level of play improved from year one, both as far as individual prospects and with its team play. P32 director Josh Woodson and his staff put together an outstanding event that made it especially easy for NBA executives, college coaches, and scouts alike to take in all of the top action at the gorgeous Memphis Sports and Event Center.
NBA stars such as Jamal Murray, Tyrese Maxey and Jaylen Wells were all manning the sidelines for their teams in New Balance's final event of the AAU season. Ultimately, the Gateway Knights continued their magical season and finished the P32 League undefeated with the 17U crown. Meanwhile, Midwest Renegade took home the 16U title with a collaborative effort and squad that had countless contributors. Famed program DC Assault showed that they're back for good, taking home the 15U championship with a special group of 2029 prospects that blended size, skill, and athleticism.
We already highlighted 3 and D wing Tristan Franklin and his running mate Aaron “Mouse” Bryant, as well as Travis Martin and Mamadou Barry from the Championship run, but here are some of the other 2028 prospects of note from the New Balance P32 Finals:
Peace Brand, 6’8", PF, Max Levels Elite 17U
The son of Sixers executive and former NBA #1 pick Elton Brand, Peace Brand really built momentum with his MVP performance at the 2025 Pangos All East Frosh/Soph Camp and it has carried over to his play on the AAU circuit. The long forward has outstanding touch facing the basket, can get to the rack with quick rips, and is a shot-blocking presence defensively.
Terrance Byrd, 6'7", SF/PF, The Factory 17U
One of the more complete offensive players in the 2028 class, Terrance Byrd showed why he was a mismatch nightmare in his final games playing up for The Factory 17U at the Finals. The combo forward can beat defenders off the bounce, is deadly from mid-range, and knows how to exploit smaller defenders with his size. Byrd's versatility offensively has already earned him high major offers and placed him firmly on the radar nationally.
Mohamed Kourouma, 6'8", PF, Gateway Knights 17U
Playing up on the 17U level for Gateway, Mohamed Kourouma showed steady progress throughout the P32 season. The powerful lefty has an explosive first step attacking, is super bouncy at the rim, and had no problem playing against older competition due to his physical gifts. Mo's perimeter skills are constantly evolving, resulting in schools such as hometown St. Louis putting a scholarship on the table early on.

Jaron Couture, 6'3", SG, Rashard Lewis Academy 16U
One of the best power guards we saw at the 16U level, Jaron Couture truly knows how to utilize his strength on both ends of the floor. He was comfortable posting smaller guards, embraced finishing through contact at the rim, and showed he was willing to defend all three perimeter spots. Toss in the fact that he's a knockdown shooter when hot and you see why his level of production earned him an early McNeese State offer in today's transfer portal era.
Coleman Watson, 6’4", PG, Gateway Knights 16U
Playing as the catalyst for a squad that reached the title game, Coleman Watson showed the immense potential that he has as a guard with size at the P32 Finals. The wiry catalyst utilized his size to see over defenders on passes, had some serious wiggle to get past opponents, and was a unique finisher at the rack with either hand. Looking like he's far from done growing, Watson's list of DI offers will continue to evolve as his game does.
Heaven Chea, 6’1", PG, Team Perseverance 16U
A dynamic scoring lead guard, Heaven Chea put on his best Allen Iverson impression with his 47-point showing. The deadly isolation scorer is great utilizing his hang dribble, is a blur when he gets a head of steam, and is a serious threat anytime he has the rock. Heading to Sequoia Prep next season, Chea will have the opportunity to continue to prove himself against the elite prep competition that the Cactus State has to offer.
