The EYBL regular season is officially over. While the games technically ended on Saturday night, there were still a number of Nike Peach Jam spots that were up for grabs. In an interesting and forward-thinking concept, Nike allowed the top teams from each of its EYCL divisions to play EYBL teams in "winner-take-all" games to earn the final spots at the prestigious July event in North Augusta. The end result was a bit of a Super Bowl-type atmosphere for many EYCL teams hoping to take their programs to the next level or EYBL squads hoping to stay alive.
The winning teams in each age group were as follows:
15U: Iowa United
15U: New Jersey Scholars
16U: Iowa United
16U: Florida Rebels
17U: Kingdom Hoops
17U: Utah Prospects
With such a high level of play, there were a number of unheralded players who left it all on the hardwood in what was their most important game of the summer. Here is a more comprehensive look at seven standouts from the EYBL Play-In Sunday:
Jahmar Smith, 6'2", PG/SG, Florida Rebels 16U, 2028
The epitome of a power guard, Jahmar Smith punished opposing guards in Florida Rebels' must-win game in 16U play against a skilled Phoenix United squad with size. The combo guard was in attack mode any time that he had the rock, used his strong frame to play through contact on both ends, and rebounded the ball exceptionally well from the backcourt.
Recently picking up mid-major offers, Jahmar is one to watch during the high school season for Orlando power Oak Ridge.
David Moudouyi, 6'10", C, NJ Scholars 15U, 2030
Considered by some to be the top incoming freshman in the nation, the potential that David Moudouyi offers was evident to everyone at the EYBL. The long-armed big is a constant threat to put you in the rim, is remarkably coordinated, and can beat you off the bounce with straight line rips to the rim.
Heading to Sewickley Academy in Pennsylvania to start his high school career, David is certainly going to be one of the most heralded incoming freshmen in the nation.
Parker Miller, 6'4", SG, Kingdom Hoops 17U, 2027
In what was the biggest shot of the weekend in Vegas, Parker Miller capped off a Kingdom Hoops run from being down 17 points in the fourth by hitting a game-winning 3-pointer to knock off Team Takeover. The Peach Jam-bound two guard dropped 22 points via a flurry of 3-pointers, can score with limited dribbles, and will make you pay with straight line drives if you run him off the 3-point line.
Already having won a state title in high school, the winning intangibles that Miller possesses will definitely carry over to Peach Jam.

Jared Jeffers, 6'10", C, Team Takeover 17U, 2027
With all of the tools you dream of out of a big man, Jared Jeffers showed why there has been so much buzz surrounding him in the DMV. The long-armed big man is an absolute freak athlete, lets the game come to him offensively, and lets it be known that he's a presence on the interior.
Having picked up a ton of offers during his live period play in June with legendary DeMatha Catholic, Jeffers will be bringing some serious buzz with him for the high school season.
Richard Okokoh, 6'5", SG, Iowa United 15U, 2029
A player that I wasn't familiar with leading into the event, Richard Okokoh stood out to me within seconds of seeing him during Iowa United's upset of Team United to advance to the Peach Jam. The long-armed sophomore made great passes in tight windows, changed the game with his athleticism, and utilized his length on both ends of the floor.
The Canadian was a jack of all trades for Iowa United and will certainly be one to monitor moving forward.
Trey Billings, 6'8", PF, Utah Prospects 17U, 2027
While there are others with bigger names, I personally loved what Trey Billings brought to the table for Utah Prospects as they punched their Peach Jam ticket. He showed off great hands, constantly finishes through contact in the paint, and kept plays alive with his activity on both ends. Billings is still definitely under the radar, but looked the part of a mid-major prospect yesterday in Vegas.
Logan Szpak, 6'6", SF, Iowa United 15U, 2029
Another Canadian with size on Iowa United's 15U squad, Logan Szpak got it done within the flow of the offense in their Peach Jam qualifier run. The swingman made a presence with his size, was confident shooting open threes, and would certainly dunk on you in transition. It was a small sample size for me with Logan, but I definitely would love to see more of him in the future.
