Pangos All-American Camp East Preview: Top Underclassmen

Pangos is back in Miami. Founder Dinos Trigonis has been bringing elite-level independent basketball to Miami for years now, but switched things up a bit for 2026. Typically running The Fantastic 40 grassroots tournament, Trigonis opted for an individual event to serve as a primer for the prestigious NBA-certified Pangos All-American Camp in Vegas (May 31-June 2), and the talent followed.

Held at five-time FHSAA state champion Miami Christian, the 2026 Pangos All-American Preview East brought size, length, and a number of new names who will emerge nationally. The one-day event featured four extremely competitive games, along with a Cream of the Crop Top 20 Game to cap off the event.

The event started and ended with the dominant play of 6-foot-11 Lewis Uvwo of FAB 50 power Prolific Prep (Southwest Ranches, Fla.). The camp MVP looked the part of a five-star prospect, and his level of production reflected that. However, Uvwo wasn't the only one who stood out, given the abundance of length and size that the event had to offer, not to mention great defensive energy.

We already took a look at 6-foot-9 Drabo Moussa in our Top Performers article, but here are five other underclassmen who you'll be hearing about sooner rather than later from the Pangos All-American East Preview:

Eghosa Odeje, 6'9, C, Prolific Prep (FL), 2029

The rich get richer. Playing for Prolific Prep's Florida team as a freshman in order to get the proper development, the lefty big man has made huge strides in the past year. He was perfectly comfortable attacking the rack with straight line drives, kept plays alive on the offensive glass with his high motor, and offered a significant presence defensively with his length.

Running with Alabama Fusion in the EYBL, Eghosa Odeje should shine after a year of growth at Prolific.

Delan Montgomery, 6'5, SG, Miami Country Day (FL), 2029

A shooting guard with size, Delan Montgomery, showed that he's next up out of SOH Elite with his play at the Pangos All-American Preview. The smooth guard has an effortless release, has a solid base on his shot, and relocates to open areas for his teammates to find him.

Already owning offers from Temple and Florida State, Montgomery has the tools and stroke to be one of South Florida's best in 2029.

Branden Sharpe, 6'4, SG, Sagemont Prep (FL), 2028

A competitor on both ends, Branden Sharpe did a little bit of everything that you'd look for out of a two guard at the Pangos All-American East Preview.  He shot well with a nice base on his shot, was able to get to the rim with limited dribbles in an efficient manner, and showed the ability to defend either backcourt spot.

Having already won a state title with Sagemont, Sharpe is now running with SOH Elite in the UAA and is definitely one to watch.

Puffy Walker, 6'0, PG, Wheeler HS (GA), 2029

Just a freshman, Puffy Walker held his own against the older competition at Pangos and showed extreme confidence whenever he had the rock in his hands. The super-strong lefty hit a number of deep jumpers, played with a nice change of speed, and utilized his physicality on the defensive end.

Playing for Georgia power Wheeler, Walker has the chance to develop into a really nice lead guard under renowned coach Larry Thompson.

Laron Mack Jr., 6'7, SF/PF, Riviera Prep (FL), 2028

A do-it-all forward, Laron Mack Jr. gave you a bit of everything from either spot at the Pangos All-American Camp Preview. He shot the ball well with his feet set, scored with limited dribbles, and made an impact with his length on both ends.

Running with All Ball on the AAU circuit, Laron should add to an offer list that includes the likes of Florida State and Washington.
