Honoring a local legend in Southern California, Pangos founder Dinos Trigonis got many of Southern California's best all under one roof for the Ron Massey Memorial Fall Classic. Massey, a longtime coach at Long Beach Jordan, compiled 503 wins over 28 seasons and coached McDonald’s All-American Travon Bryant. Let’s not forget about the three CIF Southern Section titles and seven Moore League championships that he had under his belt.
Certified for Division I college coaches to attend, the Ron Massey Memorial had coaches and scouts alike lining the baselines to evaluate talent from the 50+ teams at McBride High School. All games were livestreamed on BallerTV, GameBook Stats had all of the statistical reports ready immediately after the game, and Spalding provided special game balls for the event.
All in all, it was an outstanding celebration of hoops in Coach Massey's honor.
"Ron Massey was an educator first and a basketball coach second. In fact, he worked the Nike All-American Camp, but it was on the academic side," Trigonis said of Massey. "He always loved basketball. Learning and education was a constant endeavor for him."
Class of 2028 Elites
Sharpshooting junior Noah Zeola, Mater Dei '28 power guard Isaiah Williamson, and gritty 6-foot-7 junior Elijah Ricks stole the show on the second day of the Ron Massey. Here's a more comprehensive look at five more 2028 prospects who put their stamp on things in Long Beach:

Jakobi Oware, 6'6", SF, St. Pius-Matthias (Cal.)
The most highly touted junior that the event had to offer, Jakobi Oware showed why he's one of the smoothest swingmen that the West Coast has to offer. The incredibly versatile junior has a silky 3-point shot, creates immense separation with his step-back jumper, and is a big-time rebounder from the backcourt.
Recently picking up a USA Basketball minicamp invite, Oware has reached four-star status and is constantly shooting up the national rankings.
DC Madeline, 6'8", PF/C, Los Alamitos HS (Cal.)
The biggest surprise of the junior class was DC Madeline, a rapidly developing big out of Los Alamitos. The long-armed big man has a great frame, can really run the floor, and brings a constant motor on both ends in the paint.
Having played on the JV squad last year as a sophomore, Madeline has the raw talent to ascend quickly among big men on the West Coast.
Oumar Dabo, 6'8", PF/C, San Gabriel Academy (Cal.)
An absolute glue guy, Oumar Dabo does all of the things that you hope for out of a role-playing big man in today's game. The bouncy forward has an elite motor, utilizes his pop vertically on both ends of the floor, and was a monster on the offensive glass.
Running with Dream Vision on the AAU circuit, he's shown what he can do as a utility big, and as his skill level increases, expect his recruitment to follow.
Hudson Dannels, 6'8", SF/PF, Santa Margarita HS (Cal.)
Able to get it done from either forward position in today's game, Hudson Dannels produced at a high level with his new school, dropping 23 points (9-13 FG, 5-9 3PT) and 7 rebounds. The new-age forward is an effortless 3-point shooter who gets his feet set in a hurry, is a rebounding presence from the wing, and is learning how to utilize his size.
Making the move from Vegas power Bishop Gorman, Dannels immediately put himself on the radar in Southern California.
Carter Parker, 6'4", PG/SG, Vasquez HS (Cal.)/Belmont Shore
Running with both his high school team and his AAU team, we got an extended look at Carter Parker at the Pangos Ron Massey Memorial. The shot-making guard produced at a high rate from either backcourt spot, threw defenders off with his deceptive change of speed, and can really knock down threes when he gets hot.
Already holding Division I offers, Parker should gain more attention as he continues to learn how to utilize his size as a big guard.
