Our scouting team spent time at the Star Center in Northlake, Texas over the weekend for White Chocolate U, an elite camp series presented by former NBA point guard Jason Williams. A strong collection of next level talent was on hand and this recap focuses on the top performers from the 2027 (senior) and 2028 (junior) classes.
2028s
MJ Boyd, 2028, 6’2” PG — Grace Prep
Boyd played aggressively and consistently made athletic plays. He possesses terrific hang time, allowing him to absorb contact and still finish effectively around the basket. His strong frame helps him create space off the bounce, while his long arms enable him to shoot over the outstretched reach of defenders in the pull-up midrange game.
London Giles, 2028, 6’1” PG — DeSoto
Giles was a good communicator and reliable perimeter shooter throughout the camp. He has noticeably grown over the past year, adding more size to his backcourt skill set. He is an effective spot-up shooter who can run a team, make sound decisions, and consistently contribute to winning basketball.

Bae Bae Groom, 2028, 6’2” CG — Duncanville
Groom made shots as expected and used his length defensively to disrupt passing lanes and generate deflections. The game appeared to come easily to him in this setting, as he played comfortably and created separation whenever needed. He consistently generated quality looks and got almost any shot he wanted throughout the camp.
King Taylor, 2028, 6’7” Forward — Southwest
Taylor currently projects more as a four than a three, but his perimeter ball skills continue to develop. He is an athletic slasher who competes hard on every possession. Taylor blocked shots, finished above the rim in transition, and showed increased comfort attacking off the catch, beating defenders and consistently generating paint touches.
Shawn Hall, 2028, 6’2” CG — Liberty-Eylau
Hall is a downhill, aggressive guard who rebounds the ball well for a backcourt player. He is difficult to contain in transition and uses his physicality to finish through contact around the basket. Hall also possesses an adequate collection of counters when defenders cut off his initial driving lane.
2027s
Brayden Williams, 2027, 6’4” CG — Lawton
Williams is a crafty and athletic combo guard who can finish against length with either hand. He does an excellent job of getting lower than defenders on drives, allowing him to gain leverage and turn the corner. His finishing ability, body control, and overall dexterity around the basket were particularly impressive.
Jonathan Bradley, 2027, 6’2” PG — South Oak Cliff
Bradley has been one of the most consistent players in Texas throughout the spring and summer. Regardless of the setting or level of competition, he continues to produce, and this camp was no different. Bradley displayed an array of finishes at the rim, soft touch on short-range attempts, and the ability to make defenders pay when they played too heavily against his drive.
Bo Seale, 2027 6’7” PF — McKinney
An aggressive forward who can stretch the floor and comfortably attack hard closeouts off the dribble. He is a scoring threat as a ball-screen screener and when receiving the ball on reversals.
Isaac Hayes, 2027, 5’9” PG — North Crowley
Hayes makes teams better with his ability to balance scoring and playmaking. He consistently makes the simple read but can also tap into his creativity and deliver passes through tight windows. With extended range on his three-point shot, Hayes understands how to control the game and remains productive in a variety of settings.
