Oral Roberts has landed a commitment from 2027 (senior) Xander Pruzinsky, a 6-foot-8 front court prospect from Frisco Memorial High School.
Xander is the first commit in the 2027 cycle for head coach Kory Barnett. He's a vertical spacing forward that’s also a fine rim protector.
For Pruzinsky, his decision extended beyond basketball. The relationships he developed with the Golden Eagles’ players and coaching staff ultimately separated Oral Roberts from the other programs involved in his recruitment.
“My deciding factor was definitely the people there—the players and coaches,” Pruzinsky said.
Barnett and his staff began recruiting Pruzinsky more than a year ago. Their consistent communication helped establish the trust and comfort that eventually led to his commitment.
“My relationship with them has been super close because they always checked up on me and made sure I was good from the time they started recruiting me over a year ago,” he said.
Pruzinsky will bring size, versatility and competitiveness to the Golden Eagles’ front court. He plays with energy around the basket and has continued to expand his offensive skill set, giving Oral Roberts a promising piece to develop.
However, Pruzinsky believes his greatest contribution will be his winning mentality. Despite entering the program as a freshman, he plans to immediately bring energy, accountability and a team-first approach.
“I feel like I can bring winning,” Pruzinsky said. “I hate losing. Even though I’ll be one of the younger guys coming in, I’m going to make sure everyone is having fun while also making sure we’re preparing to win.”
