“Run Forrest Run!” Usually when people hear that phrase, they instantly think of Tom Hanks in the classic movie Forrest Gump. When sneaker aficionados like myself hear the popular saying, the Nike Cortez Forrest Gump colorways come to mind. With that being said since the re-release of the retro, the shoe has instantly sold out, not surprised. Que in NikeLab & let them do what they do when they feel the need to whip up a modern day recipe for an iconic classic runner.
The people at NikeLab have reconstructed the Cortez’s sole & swapped it out with the same sole that is used on the Roshe Run. Reinventing the iconic runner to be up to date with modern day running shoes. Now the Forrest Gump Cortez’s can now compliment your feet for a modern pillow feel for your feet & of course to make you look/feel good about sporting some classics.
Personally my favorite part about any shoe is all in the details. On the insoles you’ll find a logo that reads “Blue Ribbon Sports” which was the original name brand for Nike back in the 60’s.
The NikeLab Roshe Cortez Forrest Gump colorways are set to hit retailers June 18th at selected Nike & NikeLab retailers worldwide.
