Paul George scores career high 43 (5 straight 3-pointers in 4th) in loss to Blazers

The red hot Pacers, with a 16-1 record, finally took another L last night as the Blazers continued blazing with their best start since 1998 when they started 17-1.  It took 54 points from Damian Lillard and LaMarcus Aldridge to overcome a career high 43 from MVP front runner Paul George.

George connected on 16 of 30 shots and was unconscious in the 4th quarter scoring 15 straight points for the Pacers all on 3 pointers but it wasn’t enough to keep the Blazers from staying undefeated against the Eastern Conference.

“I was just trying to keep us in there. My number was called upon in the fourth quarter. I was just trying to be there for my teammates. I was trying to will us back into the game.” said George.
