Is it obvious the Lakers and the city of Los Angeles want Paul George?
From tampering fines, to Wednesday’s trades, to giving him a standing ovation during player introductions to actually chanting “We want Paul George!” in the middle of a game, it’s very obvious they want PG-13 (and LeBron James) in a Lakers’ uniform next year.
For now, the Lakers are just going to have to settle with handing him a L and winning their fourth game in a row and 8th at home. Granted, George was playing without Westbrook and Melo but a 106-81 victory is a 106-81 victory!
In his one-man show, George scored a game-high 29 points (22 in the first half) and had the highlight of the night when he dropped Kentavious Caldwell-Pope with an ankle monitor breaking move before throwing a lob to Aquaman.
In KCP’s defense (no pun intended), if you look at the replay closely, it looks like George got away with a push.
