User Opinions

For the last few weeks I’ve been using the Plus500 peer-2-peer prediction exchange and learning about what it offers for the average US trader, but now I wanted to specifically look at the Plus500 bonuses.

Is there anything like a Plus500 promo code or new user promo? Can you unlock anything like a referral program or trading perks? If you read on, I’ll answer these questions as I create a deep dive about this prediction exchange. I’ll also offer some simple tips and information, and explain how you can get signed up here.

Understanding how Plus500 works

Before I jump into the potential bonuses and promotions that Plus500 offers, I want to quickly explain how the site works. This is the peer-2-peer prediction trading exchange arm of the Plus500 trading site (Plus500 also offers trading for futures, crypto, and FOREX, for example).

The site features a massive range of predictions on real world events such as, “Will Bitcoin be above $200k by 2027?”. For each prediction, there are a series of event contracts - typically relating to yes and no answers for the predictions. For instance, with the Bitcoin question, there might be a yes option with a price of 4c, and a no option with a price of 97c.

You can buy and sell these yes/no event contracts with other traders via their P2P exchange. You then have the option of holding your event contracts and trying to settle them in-the-money if you are confident in your selection. In this instance, it means you got the predictions right, and you will get a $1 return minus any fees. This is the basic premise of P2P prediction trading at Plus500.

Is there a Plus500 new user promo?

Like what I found out when I looked for the Gemini Predictions bonus, I was disappointed to see that Plus500 doesn’t really offer a welcome bonus for new customers for its P2P prediction trading exchange. I wasn’t really surprised though - out of the prediction market sites that I’ve tested recently, around only 30% have any type of signup bonus for new customers - it’s just not as common for this product.

Now, although I didn’t find a prediction trading-specific welcome bonus, you MIGHT be able to get a standard futures welcome bonus - remember that Plus500 also offers futures, crypto, and FOREX trading. From what I could see, there is the potential to get a first deposit bonus when you sign up with a futures account. The exact bonus amount and terms and conditions will vary, and there is the chance that this might not even be available anymore.

Still, it could be something to consider if you intend to use the other Plus500 products alongside its prediction trading exchange. You can look at the banners we’ve got on this page and they should show any potential welcome bonuses or other offers that you can get.

How to get signed up with Plus500

Exactly like the process I saw outlined for the ADI Predictstreet bonus, if you want to explore the potential promos here and see what the site has to offer, you will need to register an account, and you should be able to that by following these steps:

  1. Click our Plus500 banners.

  2. Click the create account button.

  3. Enter an email and password.

  4. Click the create account button.

  5. Answer any relevant trading questions.

  6. Complete any initial verification.

  7. Log in to your new Plus500 account.

You can use your Google, Facebook, or Apple account details if you wish which can speed up the process and make things easier. There will also be some verification you need to do if you want to access all of the site’s features. To learn more about the exact types of promotions you can trade at this exchange, you might also consider checking out my separate Plus500 review.

Did I find any other Plus500 bonuses or promotional features?

With the Webull bonus, I found a few other features for existing customers, but I didn’t really see any Plus500 bonuses for existing and new users for the prediction trading exchange. I hope that promotional features will come in time, and I expect that there isn’t really anything yet as the site has only just launched its prediction trading offering. Still, I did see a few features for the other parts of the Plus500 site including a referral program and Trade Points system.

Referral program

One thing I noticed at Plus500 was a potential referral program. You can invite up to 5 friends who have never opened an account with Plus500US before. Simply send the invite link and when the first four friends have completed the sign up process, you will receive a $100 referral bonus for each successful referral that you made. For the last invited friend, you’ll receive a cash bonus of $300. Meanwhile, for the invited friend, they’ll receive a first deposit bonus, which will be given once they place their first trade within 90 days.

Trader Points system

Plus500 does have a +Premium subscription that you can sign up for, and one of the perks for this is the ability to get Trader Points. You accumulate TP via trading with real money, and this helps you progress through the loyalty tiers. At these different tiers, you can potentially unlock bonuses in the form of redeemable cash bonuses that go directly into your account as a withdrawable lump sum.

Top tips for prediction trading at Plus500

Throughout my time looking for a Plus500 promo code, I found there were a few important facts and tips that really helped in my understanding of the site and how potential bonuses could work. This includes trading fees, payment fees, and exactly how the prediction trading process works and its potential risks.

💰 Make sure you understand the prediction trading fees

As a peer-2-peer prediction trading exchange, Plus500 has trading fees for each trade you execute - this is how the operator covers the costs of running its prediction trading service. It’s important that you understand these trading fees so that you can factor them in your return calculations, and to make sure your costs are covered if you decide to sell your event contracts early.

At this point in time, similar to what I found when checking the Interactive Brokers bonus, Plus500 has a flat fee of $0.01 per side. This means that there is a $0.01 fee for buying AND selling event contracts, so the maximum potential you could pay in fees for one event contract is $0.02. There also might be NFA and exchange fees, and from my experience, I’ve found that generally the maximum you will pay per side is $0.02 which is in line with what most other sites charge.

💳 Be aware of the withdrawal processing fee

Plus500 does not charge any deposit fees which is incredibly welcome, and it’s something I expect from trading sites. However, they DO have a 1.75% withdrawal processing fee which is less than ideal. It ultimately means you get less back from your prediction event contracts, and this is a flat 1.75% regardless of the withdrawal method you use.

Make sure that you also factor any withdrawal processing fees into your overall trading profitability calculations as if you are working with tight margins, it could mean that you end up only breaking even or even making a loss if you’re buying and selling event contracts at 90c+.

📈 You have the potential to make either $1 or $0 return from your trades

If you want to sign up at Plus500, or any prediction trading exchange that we’ve got recommended on this site, I believe it’s important to remember the potential risk factor. There is no guarantee that your event contracts will settle in-the-money, or that you will make a return from buying and selling. There isn’t even any guarantee that your trades will be executed.

The main thing I kept in the back of my mind was that all event contracts at Plus500 have the potential to settle out-of-the-money. This is where you hold your event contracts and wait for the event to happen, but you get the prediction wrong. In this instance, you would get a $0 return on your event contracts. Just be aware of the risks as they are the same as with any type of trading.

Conclusion - Plus500 could improve its prediction promo offering

That’s my Plus500 promo review finished, and overall, there is a big room for improvement when it comes to prediction-specific bonuses. From my testing and research, it looks like there are some decent features for the other parts of the site, such as the futures referral bonus and signup bonus, and the +Premium subscription service.

BUT, the main point is that right now, none of these features from my experience looked to be available for the prediction exchange. I’m still confident that these things will come in time though - it is a new product that they have launched so there’s time to grow. Despite this, I still had an awesome time using Plus500 and I think it has the potential to be one of the better P2P prediction trading exchanges and if you want to give it a try for yourself, you can click any of the banners that we’ve got on this page.

Plus500 promo FAQs

🤑 Is there a Plus500 new user promo?

Not for the prediction trading exchange. I signed up here and did not get any type of new user promo - there did look to potentially be one for the futures trading part of the Plus500 site though, and this could include a deposit bonus.

🤷🏻‍♂️ Are there any Plus500 promo codes?

I’ve not really seen any. There might be a potential referral code for the futures referral program, but nothing specific for the P2P prediction exchange section of Plus500. You can look at the banners we’ve got on this page though for any relevant promotions, codes, or bonuses that you can get.

👩🏻 Who can legally sign up to Plus500?

Anyone from the US who is over 18. Plus500 is a valid trading exchange that operates legally in the US under the regulations of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.

💳 What payment methods does Plus500 accept?

This might vary based on where you are accessing the site from, but I had no issues using Google Pay. Also, I saw other common payment methods like Apple Pay, Visa, MasterCard, Skrill, and PayPal.

✅ Is Plus500 legit?

Yes. It’s regulated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, and a member of the National Futures Association, so it can legally offer its services in the US.
