PrizePicks just added a new product called PrizePicks Predict, which lets you trade event contracts based on real-world outcomes. There are no bonuses for this new product yet, so you won’t need PrizePicks promo codes for now.
PrizePicks Predict comes in two options: Team Picks, focused on sports predictions, and Culture Picks, which offers non-sports prediction markets such as politics and pop culture. In this review, I’ll take a closer look at what PrizePicks Predict offers and walk you through PrizePicks’ simple sign-up process. I’ll also provide tips on maximizing your trades at PrizePicks Predict.
PrizPicks Predict is currently making waves online, especially due to its partnership with Kalshi, one of the largest prediction markets in the United States. This product lets you use real money to make predictions on real-world events, including sports, politics, economics, crypto, pop culture, and climate issues.
It uses the same peer-to-peer prediction model as popular prediction market sites. You’ll buy or sell event contracts tied to “Yes or No” questions based on your expectations. Each contract has a price that ranges from $0.01 to $1.
For every correct prediction, you’ll get a $1 payout per contract. However, if your predictions are wrong, your contracts will settle at $0. Keep in mind, though, that contract prices can fluctuate due to traders' sentiments and market demands.
The prices also reflect the likelihood of an event occurring. For instance, a contract priced at $0.75 indicates a 75% chance of an event occurring.
PrizePicks offers two main options on the app: Team Picks and Culture Picks. Let’s look at what each option offers:
The Team Picks is all about the sports offerings of PrizePicks Predict. With Team Picks, you can make predictions on the outcomes of various sports events. During my review of the Team Picks feature, I found a range of sports contracts, including moneylines, spreads, and totals.
For instance, if the Lakers are going up against the Celtics and the projected total is 45.6 points, PrizePick Predict traders can choose “Yes” or "No” on whether the teams exceed that total.
You can also make predictions on game winner outcomes. Here, you’ll find “Yes” or “No” markets such as “Buffalo Bills vs Seattle Seahawks: Who Will Win the Game” or “Will the Washington Commanders beat the Philadelphia Eagles?”
That said, Team Picks are available for major leagues such as the NBA, NFL, NHL, MLB, and UFC, giving players even more ways to engage with their favorite sports in the PrizePicks app.
The Culture Picks focuses specifically on predictions that aren’t sports-related. I had access to a wide selection of event contracts, including those on politics, crypto, climate, the economy, and culture.
For context, here are some of the prediction markets available in the Culture Picks section:
PrizePicks Predict politics prediction lets you trade on the outcome of real-world political events. Some of the contracts you can find include:
If you’re into cryptocurrency trading, PrizePicks Predict offers various markets that you can engage with using your strategic crypto knowledge. During my PrizePicks Predict review, I came across some interesting contracts like:
For those who prefer to trade on economic topics, PrizePicks Predict provides a variety of contracts related to business and trade questions, such as the unemployment rate, recession predictions, and federal government policies. Here are some of the market options you’ll find:
At PrizePicks, you can also make predictions about climate events. During this review, I found some interesting contracts, such as “Will it snow in Dallas this month?” and “Will there be an 8 magnitude earthquake in California before 2027?” Personally, I traded “No” for the earthquake prediction based on my analysis.
As an entertainment fan, I was curious about PrizePicks' entertainment prediction market after signing up. Here, I found a range of predictions focused mainly on the Grammy and Oscar awards, as well as artists' music ratings on streaming platforms like Spotify.
I particularly enjoyed trading on markets such as Best Actor/Actress, Best Casting, and Best Director for the Oscars. For the Grammys, I looked at Best New Artist and Best Music. I also made predictions about the top artist on Spotify this year and which songs will be #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 this month.
Just remember that you can only enjoy these markets if you have a registered account on the PrizePicks app. Also, keep in mind that these aren't PrizePicks betting promo. You'll always see a “Yes” or “No” price for the options in the Team Picks or each market in the Culture Picks section.
During my review, I didn't find any promotion specifically for trading contracts on PrizePicks Predict. Since this product is still relatively new, I wasn't too surprised. I'm optimistic that with time, the brand will start introducing PrizePicks promo for its traders.
However, I came across a PrizePicks new-user promo that applies only to its Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) product. For newly registered DFS players, there's a sign-up offer of “Play $5, Get $50 instantly”. With this promo, you can receive $50 in lineups after you place your first $5 wager on any sports event available on the app.
The best part? You won't need any PrizePicks promo code to activate this offer.
As mentioned earlier, you'll need to sign up through the PrizePicks app to access any of its offerings. That said, getting started and making trades on PrizePicks Predict is easy. Here's how I created my account without any PrizePicks promo code:
PrizePicks Predict isn't just about making predictions; the question remains: How can you get the best outcomes from your predictions? Here are my top 5 expert tips to help you enjoy a great experience on PrizePicks Predict.
Whenever you make a trade at PrizePicks Predict, be sure to keep track of your wins and losses. Keeping track lets you review your performance when you're not actively trading and see what's actually working for you. It also helps to improve your experience with time.
On brands like PrizePicks Predict, you may come across bonuses for prediction markets, but these are often time-limited offers. It's important to note that PrizePicks Predict doesn't currently offer any bonuses.
That said, when such offers do become available, be sure to claim them right after reviewing the terms and conditions.
Before signing up at PrizePicks, you'll find a tab that allows you to opt in for notifications about promotional offers. Once you click the tab, you'll receive email notifications whenever a new promotion is available on the app.
One downside is that you might miss an offer because your inbox is cluttered. To avoid this, check the promotions page regularly. By doing so, you can catch any trading offers before their deadlines pass.
In prediction markets like PrizePicks Predict, the cost of a market's outcome is often influenced by traders' sentiment. Typically, the favored option will have a higher trading price with either a “Yes” or “No” probability.
Before making any trade, look for options that show strong sentiment from other traders. It's also good to review your choices and research which options are likely to lead to a better outcome based on facts. That way, you won't just be following the crowd; you'll also have a good understanding of the logic behind picks with higher probabilities.
With so many market events to choose from on PrizePicks Predict, it is easy to get carried away when making trades. Ensure you focus on predicting events you're knowledgeable about and avoid those you don't understand.
For example, if you're not a pop culture expert, it's best to avoid those markets. However, if you have a good knowledge of politics, take advantage of those markets. Sticking to markets you're familiar with allows you to apply your trading strategies effectively and even learn new techniques for your future trades.
Whenever you make a trade at PrizePicks Predict, be sure to keep track of your wins and losses. Keeping track lets you review your performance when you're not actively trading and see what's actually working for you. It also helps to improve your experience with time.
